I have yet to see a single person who believes that regime change can occur through US and Israeli intervention come up with a solution for the hundreds of thousands of men (IRGC) who are well-armed and know they will be killed if they don’t kill their compatriots first.

Hormuz is neither of those things. It is a natural strait used for international navigation. Different facts. Different legal regime. Different strategic implications.
