Our democracy will die a natural death if courts continue to entertain intra party disputes and if INEC continues to dance to the tune of the master strategists that tremble at the mention of opposition.

Can Peace Reign in the land? What have we done wrong that has brought us this level of insecurity? When can peace reign in Plateau, Benue, Niger, Sokoto, Kwara, Kogi and all the other troubled states of our nation, or should we just accept now that security in some parts of Nigeria has become a norm and impossible to handle? Should we just give up and accept defeat and surrender to fear while our people continue to die and our communities are ravaged and destroyed? We cannot let this become the new normal. The violence is not inevitable, and peace is not impossible, it is the failure of leadership that has made it feel otherwise. We must demand action and refuse to accept a Nigeria where some states are abandoned to chaos. Silence is not an option. We must secure our nation before more lives are lost. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Tinubu and APC is afraid of @PeterObi. When @KwankwasoRM joined @ADCNig, Tinubu knew the game was up for him, so INEC was used to dance kokoma by destroying ADC. Nigerians, if we don't stop Tinubu, APC will destroy Nigeria.

A CALL TO SAVE NIGERIA: INDEFINITE NATIONWIDE PROTEST TO DEFEND NIGERIA’S DEMOCRACY #OccupyINEC #SaveNigeria Issued by: Coalition of ADC Youths (CAY) Nigeria’s democracy is under threat. We are witnessing a dangerous and calculated pattern: the systematic weakening of the opposition and the growing use of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and state security apparatus to push the country toward a one-party state under Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This subversion of the people’s will must stop. Today, we speak as a unified front. For the first time, the most vibrant youth movements in Nigeria the Atikulates, the Obidients, the El-Rufai Boys and Women’s League, the Amaechi Youths, and the Kwankwasiyya National Movement stand together under the ADC umbrella to defend the soul of our nation. Our Demands 1. Resignation of the INEC Chairman: For gross abuse of office, loss of public trust, and the failure to remain an impartial umpire. 2. End to Political Persecution: We demand an immediate end to the malicious arrest and state-sponsored persecution of opposition leaders. We specifically condemn the harassment and targeting of figures like Nasir El-Rufai and Abubakar Malami, whose roles in the opposition have made them subjects of political witch-hunts. 3. Protection of Opposition Integrity: An immediate halt to all actions aimed at undermining opposition parties. Nigeria’s multi-party democracy must be preserved, not weakened. 4. Hands Off ADC Leadership: We demand full respect for the internal leadership and integrity of the ADC. The David’s Mark leadership must not be touched. The Call to Action: Indefinite Nationwide Protest To protect Nigeria’s democratic future, we are launching an INDEFINITE NATIONWIDE PROTEST, #OccupyINEC, starting immediately across all states and the FCT. This protest will continue without end until INEC does what is right and our demands are met in full. FCT MOBILIZATION DETAILS: • Meeting Point: ADC National Headquarters, Abuja. • Date: Thursday, April 2nd. • Time: 8:00 AM Prompt. A Message to the Nation We call on every member of the ADC nationwide and every patriotic youth to mobilize, organize, and join this movement. This is not about a single party; this is about Nigeria. We will be resolute. We will be firm. We will not be silent while our leaders are persecuted and our democracy is dismantled. Nigeria will not become a one-party state. We stay until justice is served. Power to the People. PRESS RELEASE INEC SHOULD STOP INTERFERING WITH ADC OR RISK DESTABILIZING 2027 ELECTIONS The Collective Movement (TCM) expresses deep concern over the recent actions of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The Commission’s removal of Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola from its portal, and its decision to suspend all engagement with the party, is not neutrality — it is unwarranted interference. This action came immediately after Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso joined the ADC, raising serious doubts about INEC’s independence. By freezing the party’s operations while a court case is still ongoing, INEC has effectively begun deregistering the ADC through the back door. This is dangerous, unconstitutional, and politically motivated. These selective actions threaten multiparty democracy, heighten political tension, and undermine public confidence ahead of the 2027 elections. Nigeria cannot move forward if INEC becomes an instrument for weakening opposition parties or advancing any agenda toward a one-party state. TCM DEMANDS: - Immediate restoration of the ADC leadership on the INEC portal pending court judgement. - An end to all prejudicial actions against the party. - A National Assembly investigation into alleged political pressure on INEC. - Protection of the constitutional rights of all political parties. TCM stands firmly against any attempt to shrink Nigeria’s democratic space. The ADC has the right to exist, to organize, and to participate fully in the 2027 elections. Any move to silence opposition voices will face resistance from Nigerians who refuse to be ruled by fear or manipulation. Democracy must be defended. Nigeria must be protected. Signed: Nassir Aminu National Publicity Secretary, TCM April 1, 2026

This release by @inecnigeria followed a meeting involving senior leaders of the Commission, & @NGRPresident, @CourtOfAppealNG, @FederalHigh in the last 60 hours. I have it on the most impeccable authority that there is a pre-signed resignation letter by Chairman Amupitan. It was a pre-condition for his appointment. Ultimately, that had to be called in aid by those who persuaded him to issue this release. The threat of releasing it did the magic. It shd be evident to a professor of law & #SAN that is not the business of @inecnigeria to interpret the decision of the Court of Appeal. If they had any doubt, an #INEC governed by good faith shd have gone back to the Court of Appeal to secure an interpretation of the decision. But that is not where we are now. The country stares down a barrel & only those willing to enable that, make peace with it, or dare it will be able to sniff the stakes in #NigeriaDecides2027. As for Joash Amupitan....!!

PRESS RELEASE INEC’S POSITION ON THE COURT OF APPEAL’S DECISION IN APPEAL NO. CA/ABJ/145/2026: SENATOR DAVID MARK V HON. NAFIU BALA GOMBE & ORS The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received: A letter from the law firm of Suleiman Usman SAN & Co. dated 16th March, 2026, titled: “RE: NOTICE OF PENDING PROCEEDINGS BEFORE THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT AND CAUTION AGAINST ANY PURPORTED RECOGNITION OF MR NAFIU BALA GOMBE AS ACTING NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC)” written on behalf of concerned stakeholders within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) A letter from the law firm of Summit Law Chambers also dated 16th March 2026 titled: “DEMAND FOR ENFORCEMENT OF THE ORDERS MADE BY THE COURT OF APPEAL, ABUJA DIVISION IN APPEAL NO: CA/ABJ/145/2026: SENATOR DAVID MARK V HON. NAFIU BALA GOMBE & 4 ORS” written on behalf of Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe. While the letter from Suleiman Usman SAN & Co urged the Commission not to recognise Mr Nafiu Bala Gombe as acting National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on account of the pending Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025: Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe v. ADC & 4 Ors. before the Federal High Court, Abuja, where the question of the leadership of the Party (ADC) is presently being contested, the letter from Summit Law Chambers, on the other hand, attached the certified True Copy of the Judgment of the Court of Appeal in Suit No. CA/ABJ/145/2026: Senator David Mark v Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe & Ors and requested the Commission to enforce the judgement of the Court of Appeal, including: Ceasing recognition of Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Chairman and National Secretary respectively of ADC; Removing their names from the Commission’s portal; and Refraining from dealing with or recognising any actions taken by them in respect of the party in line with the preservation orders made by the Court of Appeal. Subsequently, by another letter on the same subject matter dated 27th March, 2026, Summit Law Chambers alleged that the Commission had acted in disobedience of the Court of Appeal’s Orders by: i. Inviting Senator David Mark’s group to a political parties’ meeting held on Tuesday, 24th March, 2026; and ii. Monitoring a purported National Executive Committee meeting of that group. The solicitors (Summit Law Chambers) further drew the attention of the Commission to the Motion Ex-Parte and Motion on Notice filed by their client on 15th December, 2025, seeking to prevent the 1st Defendant (ADC) from holding any convention, congress, conference, or meeting and to stop INEC from attending, monitoring, observing or recognising any activities of the ADC. They accordingly requested INEC to invalidate the NEC meeting held by Senator David Mark's group on 25th March, 2026, remove the name of Senator David Mark's group from the INEC portal, stop recognising or acknowledging correspondence from them until the determination of the pending suit before the Federal High Court, Abuja and allow Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe to take over the affairs of ADC pending the determination of the case, and that INEC should respect the orders of the Court of Appeal in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/145/2026. ORDERS OF THE COURT OF APPEAL In its judgement delivered on 12th March, 2026, the Court of Appeal dismissed the interlocutory appeal by Senator David Mark and made amongst others, the following Orders: “Finally, it is necessary to make preservatory orders to ensure that the subject matter of the dispute pending before the trial court is not prejudiced as Courts have inherent powers to control and regulate proceedings to ensure justice...
