Reality: Campbell University has a national reputation problem. More people recognize the ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATION incompetency than who can even place the school on a map. The sad thing is that before going scholarship football, @GoCamels was winning across multiple sports

Next leadership moves: ✔️Football program goes to a non scholarship conference so more competitive and helps enrollment ✔️Get out of rev sharing so you can increase walk-on rosters across teams ✔️ Increase roster sizes on all teams ✔️ Give more scholarships to programs as roster walk-on benchmarks are met ✔️Thin out admin staff All teams are more competitive. Enrollment goes up bringing in profit to University. Fan base happy and supportive. Coaches happy. Student athlete experience is better across the board for more programs and majority of athletes.

Here is the thing. @campbelledu is one of the smallest D1 schools and has had years of declining enrollment. Chasing basketball and football is a lost cause bc every school is trying to compete in that marketplace. We should have never cut the sports we were good at.

Campbell gutted wrestling funding and the rest of its athletic department to protect football and basketball… and now basketball is losing its head coach over lack of support and funding. Meanwhile, wrestling, one of the school’s most successful programs, was gutted before the season. If you can’t afford football, it’s time to stop letting it take down everything else.

Truly horrendous what the administration has done to Campbell wrestling. 6 years ago Campbell was a top 15 program. Sending 5+ to NCAAs consistently year after year.
