In December 2024, I got accepted into @AvaxTeam1, and I knew I wanted to start with something different something that had never been done.
At the time, I needed support to bring the vision to life. That's when @Stupifff came through, introducing me to @cryptochimba and vouching for me in a way I'll always be grateful for.
@cryptochimba believed in the idea and set me up to actually build it.
Fast Forward to January 2025, @that_techieboy and the team at @AvaxNG kicked off their campus tour in Nigeria with Unilorin, to help introduce and amplify the campaign. That moment was the spark. And it laid the foundation for everything that followed.
From there, the campaign took off.
We built a fantasy football league that brought together football fans across my faculty with $AVAX prizes to reward participation and passion.
Over the months, we built something more than just a campaign we built a community around Avalanche at Unilorin.
We onboarded hundreds of people to @coreapp and distributed hundreds of dollars in $AVAX. Real people, real value.
And just yesterday, we concluded the campaign with a grand Final between Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the Unilorin Mainbowl. It was beautiful. Truly.
All of this was made possible with PlayEngine through which we didn’t just onboard individuals, but also businesses who will be part on the vision to bring the tech to everyday life on campus.
Next up, we plan to launch @AvaxUnilorin next session, and we can’t wait to go even deeper, supporting real adoption and real impact on campus.
