Before the WBC, Manny Machado, Julio Rodríguez, Fernando Tatis Jr., Carlos Santana, and Geraldo Perdomo got together to travel on a private jet to Miami. A video went viral where they showed their watches and money—nothing out of the ordinary. Now, after Venezuela won the WBC, Escobar posted a tweet saying: 
“You have to be humble, motherf***ers. Ever since you were on that plane, you were counting money and showing off cash. Look at how we celebrate.”
