I remember reporting on this change when it came in. I was presenting on LBC and a man called in to tell me had been given just weeks to live. But he said he would be better dying quickly because surviving would cost his family £50k. Today @will_l_a raised this with PM

When @will_l_a lost her husband at 35 she was left alone with 3 kids under 5. Nothing prepared her for that grief & loss. To make it worse, bereavement support payments have been cut to just 18 months. I’m so glad the PM has agreed to met us to discuss what more can be done🙏.
