🚨 DEAD ON ARRIVAL
Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) just delivered the news:
The House-passed bill that would block deportations for 350,000 Haitians is DEAD ON ARRIVAL in the U.S. Senate.
Moreno made it clear there’s zero chance this amnesty-style legislation will move forward in the Senate.
Good, keep that sht out of the Senate.

So many people have told me Casper would send me a sign. So here’s what happened. When I couldn’t get unloaded Tuesday Pete called and asked what I wanted to do when I did get empty come home or keep trucking. I said trucking is hard but sitting is worse. So I agreed to take a load to Texas. After talking with Pete I was killing time looking at pictures of puppies in MN after awhile I stumbled across some WGS puppies in a small town in Mn. I looked at them all, They were fun to look at. But they go fast and I’ll be heading to Texas. So I didn’t think much of it and moved on. I never said a word about the puppies to anyone. Yesterday as I was getting ready to head to Texas. Pete sent me the confirmation sheet for my reload out of Texas. My reload from Texas is taking me within just a couple of miles of where the puppies are. When I saw the name of the town I immediately called the people and will meet them Sunday morning. I don’t know if there could be a clearer sign then that from Casper. This is a blessing.

@thomas_garrard @BeverlyBright11 If it is any different than trying to teach 4 th and 5 th graders about fractions and common denominators… not surprised? Lol

Good morning my friends.
I thought I'd just give a little update on my recovery.
I seem to be getting a little better every day, which is fantastic.
They say it takes a week to 4 weeks to fully recover. I still get chest pain when I eat the tiniest amount of soft food, but at least I can eat some now!
My blood oxygen level is much better now without using oxygen. It was in the 80s just two days ago!
If you have any recommendations on shows to watch, let me know!
Thank you all for your prayers and concern. Love ya!

My husband’s grandparents who I see just as much as mine were in a golf cart accident last night. They hit a tree. Granny broke her knee and will go into surgery today and pawpaw is in ICU with a broken clavicle and neck. He’s in a lot of pain and not talking much. Both will be 90 years old this coming Fall.
Granny will be fine, but knowing she’s being put under anesthesia scares me and not knowing the outcome of Pawpaw and if he’ll even come home has me very upset. Recovery isn’t as easy when you’re their age. Please be in prayer for them

It's been a great run here with the pups. We have done things I wouldn't have believed possible. We've saved a lot of pups and healed a lot of hearts in doing so. Overall, I am very happy with the job we have done!
Sadly, yesterday we lost the lease to the land. It wasn't a huge surprise; the value of the land is at about $95-120k an acre. 45 miles NW of here it is half that, or less.
While I am very disappointed, I am not angry at the son. Even if he were a dog guy that is a lot of cash. Tom had over 400 acres. It will be divided into 3 subdivisions over the next 5 years or so. Just the way things go around here now. Wake County is the number 5 county for growth in the United States, and it is spilling north to this area now.
So, this morning I start with a new plan. We have 6 weeks to relocate. We are having an adoption event this weekend and already have a lot of locals calling. News travels fast in a small town. We will work the next weeks to place the 8 I still have here. If that fails, I have 3 rescues that will take the ones that remain. I will still pull pups from the shelter I have been, but it will be for the other rescues.
We have an empty lot available for the equipment and kennels to store them temporarily until we either find land to lease or we can incorporate them into another rescue if land isn't available to us. My volunteers have gone with me to visit the other rescues, and they all have positions at them if they choose. If we are unable to find land to lease, they are able to continue rescue here locally.
All that said this really sucks. We just recovered from the fire, and this happens. I have lost sleep, weight and some of my sanity in the process. All while the need for rescue grows. God and all of you have kept me from going over the edge. Whatever comes now I am prepared for. I will continue rescue somewhere, in some form.
Saying thank you to you all seems insufficient, you have helped us through some of our darkest days here and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without support we would never have been able to save the lives we have. Please know how much I value all of you here helping pups!
THANK YOU ALL!!!
