@gincha00 @IronHeart817876 Well that is a fine interpretation and I respect it. That’s not how I view punk. Punk to me is rebellion. To go against and push back on something. To call into question something. To have a hard edge cut deep. But this just my interpretation of it. You’re free to have your own.

@IronHeart817876 @gincha00 I think steam punk has to have a commentary on something of that time period. A critique about something. Otherwise it’s just Victorian or frontier sci fi. Weird west more just refers to unusual western stories. Be that magic or science.

@wolfensten2 @gincha00 I think there need to be supernatural ("weird") elements present in the story for it to properly count as "weird west" rather than "steampunk with cowboys." 🤔

@user_twice2 @HellOnEarth_III I guess. I’m not super well versed in that. My largest exposure was assassins creed 2 through revelations. Might be more interesting to learn about the happenings out side of Italy and England. Any recommendations?

@wolfensten2 @HellOnEarth_III nope, just the Rennaissance crowd. They ruined popular media, everything coming out is about 16th century. We got more movies and shows about Henry VIII than we have about William the Conqueror or Philip August and thats just sad

@wolfensten2 @gincha00 Not so far as I know. "Weird West" is more like "Pirates of the Caribbean," but with cowboys and skinwalkers instead of pirates and zombies.
