Of all the ways to spell love, my favourite are the ones you’re fluent in. It’s your head on my shoulder and your hand down my back, on my leg, a reassurance. It’s the silly jokes only you and I know about, a secret language. It’s the way you never look away.

Suicidal ideation, self harm, disordered eating, & addictive patterns (both substance & behavioral) are issues CPTSD & DID survivors very often struggle w/ but can't be too expressive about, because the culture shames & punishes behaviors it doesn't understand.

Telling your stories-- not just your trauma story, but your life stories, big & little-- is important. People worth having relationships with will value & listen to your stories-- & affirm that you're not boring or incoherent.
