UCSF/ZSFG Emergency Medicine residents have organized a program to allow patients to vote while in the ER, even those on 5150/5250 holds. The program gets the ballot to the pt's bedside, assists them in completing it (if needed) & an on-site secure ballotbox was procured Amazing

@domkchan @RPhStacy @ConanMacDougall I see history of pharmacy not about learning about mistakes and more about the evolution of our profession from chemist to soda jerk to dispensaries to clinician.

Shout out to #PharmEd Do any of your schools teach pharmacy history? Are there sessions, classes, or even individual lessons that teach anything about pharmacy history? Mine didn't, but that was quite a while ago. Curious to know if we have progressed since the 1990s.

This morning, I finally return to my work at @UCD_Cancer after having a massive stroke in 2022. It took: - 195 days - 80 hours of physical therapy - 95 hours of speech therapy - 125 hours of occupational therapy - 60 hours running I can’t wait to get back. Wish me luck.

Today, we revised the EUA for Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir and ritonavir), to authorize state-licensed pharmacists to prescribe Paxlovid to eligible patients, with certain limitations to ensure appropriate patient assessment and prescribing of Paxlovid. fda.gov/news-events/pr…
