I was glad to host @KySportsRadio today! I appreciated the opportunity to talk about what I’ve learned over the past 2 weeks since George Floyd’s murder. The Mitchell Family will work hard to help end racism and inequality in our community! Black lives matter! #BeTheChange

What if ... We stayed silent? We didn’t listen and act? We didn’t fully support our student-athletes and give them a platform? We didn’t make it clear black lives matter? We refuse to find out.

We, the Big Blue Nation, must come together as one community and demand a new standard. We must do our part to establish equality, so we can make progress toward unity. A statement from UK Athletics:
