The animal products on your plate, if you're eating in Britain, are almost certainly British. The supply chain is: farm, abattoir, butcher or supermarket. Measured in miles. Sometimes in tens of miles. Now. Your January strawberries are from Egypt. Your year-round peppers are from Spain or Morocco. Your salad leaves are from Israel in winter. Your green beans come from Kenya. Your blueberries are from Peru or Chile. They travel by refrigerated air freight, which is roughly fifty times more carbon-intensive per kilogram than road transport, to sit in a plastic clam shell next to a small flag and the word "fresh." The environmental argument against British animal products is not an environmental argument. It is a geography argument made by people who have not checked where their food comes from. Check where your food comes from.

Hmmm , for me that’s not really accurate. I don’t want to get into a they suck, they’re great debate but they were certainly a means to and end due to the game design. Tank controls weren’t because devs hadn’t figured out 3D movement, they were a solution to fixed camera angles. If movement was camera-relative, your controls would flip every time the camera cuts. Also, Super Mario 64 already proved smooth 3D movement worked. Games like Resident Evil 2 and Dino Crisis came after and still used tank controls because of camera design, not because devs didn’t know better.

They can be understood, but they still suck. Tank controls are a relic from when game devs hadn’t perfected character movement in 3D spaces.

I've only had one job where I was given paid vacation. I took one week and a soon as I came back I put in my notice. Nothing shakes you out of a shitty job faster than a break from it. They know that. That's why vacation is discouraged, even if it's offered.

Among Steam250's data-based ranking of the top 10 best rated VR games of all time, there are two unique standouts. The first is VTOL VR at #4, a fairly obscure but brilliant flight sim that is absolutely loved by players thanks to its VR-native design. And then there's The Room VR at #10. Sure, it's part of a well known franchise, but unique in this list considering its genre as an escape room / puzzle game. All others are shooting, simulation, or extremely well-known VR originals (Beat Saber & Gorilla Tag). How did these two make it so far?

@OldManThatGames @DavidBraben I only remember seeing someone play this game briefly on the one a5000 we had in our computer lab in middle school, had no idea it could run on a lower spec machine.

When I started Secondary school , The only computer initally was the Acorn BBC , This was then quickly replaced by the Archimedes , going from a command line to a full colour gui was so exiciting. Many of us had a copy of Lander by @DavidBraben which was quickly loaded when the teacher nipped out for a coffee.
