For anyone who thinks this this a personal attack on Lalela, it really isn't. It was announced in June that Miss Universe would be in Israel this year and I said it wouldn't be a good idea to send anyone there, this was MONTHS before Lalela won Miss SA. She just got set up.

The government has withdrawn their support for Miss SA, so Lalela is going to Israel as an individual who only represents the MISS SA organisation. This is what happens when you put your pride above human rights and suffering. It's not too late for her to do the right thing.

I don't know where you guys get the idea that SA has friendly relations with Israel when it has since recalled its Ambassador to Israel. Downgraded the embassy to a liaison office with no political mandate, no trade mandate and no development cooperation mandate.
