⚠️WARNING about ACTIVE hackers/scammers⚠️: We experienced 2 attempts to compromise Coinbase and Binance accounts over the last 24 hours. The Coinbase event users tried to steal cookie session data. @coinbase customer service reacted quickly, called immediately and worked with us to lock accounts. They verified their ID immediately upon calling and took the time to sit with us and make sure nothing was wrong. 10/10 experience. @binance attempt came from a withdrawal confirmation code sent from a previously verified Binance phone number encouraging us to call a fake number. A real person on the end with an Irish accent answered and tried to get us to connect our @Ledger @Ledger_Support to a fake site 🚨DO NOT GO HERE THIS IS FOR REFERENCE(ledgercheck-support(dot)com) @Ledger you might want to look into this site Binance sent an email after the fact, personally I am unhappy with this lazy attempt at damage control, if we were not more diligent any number of these attempts could have resulted in loss of funds. 4/10 experience, just because nothing was lost and they did send an email. **Important note**: The Binance scammers did ask for any other hardware wallets we would have access to, so we suspect they have other hardware wallet drainers that can be connected to. Anyone with a hardware wallet this is a sophisticated blended hack that incorporates tech theft and social manipulation tactics. Thanks for reading, Verify everything and be safe!
