ACK! I've spent a week trying to get my amd ai max+ 395 frameworks computer to use Qwen3.6 at any reasonable speed and it's poke-my-eye-out frustrating. Severe disappointment in buying this. I've used claude and gpt5.5 to try to research and analyze what is busted with llama.cpp and it all comes down to ROCm drivers being buggy so llama.cpp has to use Vulkan which is poor + slower with larger contexts. Search the 'issues' on git for llama.cpp and you will see so many AMD related open issues going back months and months unresolved. AMD should own this and get directly involved with the developers and help them actually implement code that utilizes the chip. Just creating a proof of concept driver and leaving everyone to wallow in bugs is a horrible consumer experience. Ollama builds on llama so it has the same issue. The same rocm issue shows up in pytorch.

@AMD @AMDRadeon what is up with the HDR issue on multi-monitor setups? Enabling HDR pegs the RDNA 3 GPU @ 2487 MHz clock speed. I know that it is a known issue, but I haven't experienced this until the recent driver releases. Tweaking with CRU isn't resolving the issue.
