@Seth_3773 HS coaches as teachers probably in the 50-60k range. More with experience or advanced degrees or multiple sports.
College Coaches 40-60k
Minor League coaches 50-60k
Major League coaches 80-100k
MLB Managers 300k- 5 Million
Serious question!
How much do you think Baseball Coaches get paid at each level ?
High School and beyond (not travel ball coaches)
Head coaches and main assistants.
@VTsportsimages I try to follow on GameChanger but unfortunately some teams only score the opposing team by # and that team doesn’t list their player’s numbers! Frustrating!
UNPOPULAR OBSERVATION:
I don't know all the details to comment on whether Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel are in the wrong or not, so won't. But she seems to be copping 𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗧 more heat than he is online. Football bros on 𝕏 rarely subject men to the same level of scrutiny.
Today we’re leaving Europe.
We visited Rome, Trastevere, Vatican City, Venice, Barcelona and Madrid.
Not a single MAGA hat.
Not a single Trump t shirt.
Not on any tourist,
Not in any shop.
Not a single cop or law enforcement officer wearing a mask,
Not a single law enforcement officer beating the shit out of anyone, for any reason.
Europeans make it perfectly clear.
They don’t like or approve of Trump.
I’m going to miss it here.
MAGA REPUBLICANS...
Pay close attention. We Catholic Republicans love our pope, and you can't win elections without us. We already make up about 20% of the Republican Party. You can't afford to lose us.
Be very, very, very careful.
If you’re leaving the Catholic Church because Pope Leo is calling for peace, then you probably weren’t much of a Catholic to begin with.
Looking at you, Sean Hannity.
Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.”
No, you didn’t.
You didn’t pay $2,200 for rent and $7 for eggs.
You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security.
Gen Z isn’t dramatic.
They’re drowning.
@jamiehempel@ronsterd89 He was happy that I brought her with me...it was a small wedding and I crossed the country from Massachusetts to San Diego to attend his wedding. Very dysfunctional crowd. It was supposed to be no liquor, but my family didn't abide by that.
@Govindtwtt You’re right, we made better financial decisions. We got roommates if needed. We did take out student loans, we paid as we went. We ate what we could afford, lots of beans, rice and ramen. Also with no job security.
@JohnnyVanBee@CoachDavidKlein Yes! Our town requires all LL teams be “equal”. That’s why our travel organization has the same kids at 17 that they had at 13. Same team, same coaches.
@CoachDavidKlein Any league that breaks up winning OR losing teams that has evals, drafts and keepers has lost its way. And that’s half the reason travel has become so popular…. Because the teams can stay together in travel.
Can we revisit the conversation around the Little League re-draft?
When I was a kid, if you were really good at 9 or 10 years old, you got drafted to a Majors team. You sat the bench. You looked up to the 11 and 12 year olds like they were GODS. And eventually… you became the dude!
The coaches were mostly the same every year. It felt like a real family. Real continuity. Real community.
I understand why so many leagues moved away from this. Parity. Exposing kids to different coaching styles. I get it.
But as a coach right now, I cannot tell you how much I would love to have the same kids back season after season.
The development would be enhanced. The relationships would be deeper. The experience would just be better IMO.
At the younger ages, 5, 6, 7 and 8 year olds, wins and losses don’t even matter. Many leagues don’t even keep standings. And most of those head coaches are coming back every season anyway.
So why are we re-drafting?
Why not just keep the same kids together and let something real grow?
Give the last place teams first picks in the draft to keep parity.
I’m not saying it has to be this way. I just miss what it was and think it should be a conversation again. Especially in leagues where retention is good and boards are capable of intentional design.
Anyone have thoughts on this?
Any history on how it all changed?
First time I’ve really thought about it in years. #baseball#youthbaseball
@sfhawks24@flowsdoc Yeah those pitch smart guidelines have certainly cut down on elbow injuries. It’s about development and proper coaching. You can’t have one without the other and unfortunately YouTube Dad thinks he can teach little Johnny.
@flowsdoc Certainly not at 10! Maybe when they're 16, and very sparingly even then. Also, observe pitchsmart guidelines at the least, and no throwing Nov-Feb.
Should kids throw curveballs?
Or are we asking the WRONG question?
I just evaluated a 10-year-old with a UCL tear…
who couldn’t even do a simple get up from the ground.
And we’re debating pitch types?
This isn’t a curveball problem.
This is a youth development problem.
Kids are:
⚾️ Playing 90+ games a year
⚾️ Throwing max intent before they can move
⚾️ Training like mini-pros
⚾️ Skipping athletic development
⚾️ Living in velocity culture
And then we’re shocked when their elbows explode.
So I’ll ask again:
👉 Is the curveball the villain?
Or are we breaking kids before they ever get the chance to grow?
@BFitz619@ldoub1159@theepicmap ya that's why we make such a good living up here with high income, high education and low crime. But we ruin everything. Meanwhile conservative states are all poor and require funding from tax payers of liberal states to function.
@ldoub1159@theepicmap If you like conservatism so much wtf are you doing up here? Besides, you might want to look at the economics of those conservative states before you talk crap about New England. At least our states are self sufficient. Something most conservative states can't claim.
@darkerwaves00@TrollyP71 I hope you double your money! Let the generation of entitled basement dwellers see what it’s like when all the working people flee the blue states!
@TrollyP71 You bought 18+ years ago? Must be making out like a bandit. The new owners will probably be childless as the house is worth 300K more than it should be
Moved out of MA last week and putting our home up for sale next week. I am going to miss this place, we raised our boys here and built a great life for our family. I hope the next owner has equal success.
Rory McIlroy said he skipped tournaments leading up to The Masters, & instead, drop his kid at school, take a private jet to Augusta to play a practice round, & then be home for dinner.
Why is he allowed to have an unfair advantage?
No wonder he’s -12
I’m at the local watering hole with about 75 people. There is not one person with an athletic background in here. Nobody knows what the fuck they’re talking about. It’s awful I have no idea why people watch important sporting events around a bunch of idiot strangers.
