The Dallas Stars are the poster child for why it’s absolutely pointless to bust your ass for a 110 point+ regular season. Means absolutely nothing in the NHL. Home ice doesn’t mean anything and it hasn’t in a decade. Play to a peak, don’t peak in the regular season.

@RyanHanaWWP Ottawa sucks, that's why they are barely in Wildcard. We would be swept by Canes too tho, this is our worst matchup.

The Sens getting swept is a massive testament to just how frustrating it is to play Carolina. They suffocate you, disrupt your flow, completely delete players from games. Ottawa's a really good team (& finally got great goaltending!) and they never looked remotely competitive.

@ivanlapanje FIFA games always sucked (very scripted, many bugs and bug abusers), but they sucked even more after introducing the Ultimate Team mode. PES 5-6 was peak gaming.

@RyanHanaWWP This series is awful so far. We played much better against Montreal except the very first game of the season with Hamonic. Tampa needs to cover up slots, just put the player there, but they are refusing to do so since they want breakaways themselves.

I know Vasilevskiy is good and all but I'm not sure the Lightning's strategy of allowing 3 breakaways a period is the best approach.

@habs9595 @OhNyquist I would say Detroit would be even better in playoff with their style of play. We fixed the lack of hits problem by the end of the season. We had a star in our goalie, streaky PP and we shot Montreal and Buffalo down, which is hard to do. This season was historically competitive.

Man watching this Montreal Tampa series really puts into perspective just how far away the Red Wings actually are. They would curl up in the fetal position and shit and piss themselves in this kind of environment

@gabrielfuh_ Well I live in German-speaking city for 5 years and understood it. Maybe he didn't hear because it's loud out there. Has nothing to do with the language. Accent was also clear, which could be a problem.

@GrindLinePod I think you lost a lot of legitimacy w/ me after hyping the Faulk trade. If hockey is something you guys take pride in covering, I don’t understand how you could view that trade positively. That type of asset mis-management is what separates the Wings from OTT, MON, & BUF

The Red Wings' 2025-26 season has ended, not in the way we had all hoped for, but there is plenty to do and dissect this summer. We will be moving to 1 episode a week, with others thrown in when there is news. We just wanted to say thank you to everyone who follows along, interacts with us, and helps to keep the show going through what has been our 9th season.
