UAE’s finest mercenaries finally win a trophy again, no public hanging in Abu Dhabi this year. Cute!

Except Steve ripped out all the choices Claude made, so Claude did nothing for the "taste in choosing them". A senior designer would be mapping out user flows to build the UX, choose a vibe/mood based on taste and experience, then start creating components for their own design system, then assemble screens and prototypes, all the while navigating stakeholder management and conducting qual and quant user testing. Claude can do none of that.

The Figma component isn't the design. Never was. A senior designer using a design system isn't 'just copying' — she's making 40 judgment calls per screen about which token, which weight, which hierarchy. That's where Claude Code is getting interesting. The components are the same. The taste in choosing them isn't.

I put together a one hour video on how I've been using Claude Code as my primary design tool. Packed with tons of 🔥 design tips.

@Arvor_IA @steveschoger Copying and pasting components from a fully fleshed out design system doesn't create much of a signal to me. Wake me up when Claude Code can actually design something brand new, in good taste, and with measurable impact.

@steveschoger Designers using Claude Code is a signal. The tool isn't just for engineers anymore — it's for anyone who needs to iterate fast and see results. The 1-hour video format makes sense: Claude Code workflows are dense with micro-decisions that are hard to explain in threads.

If it was up to me I'd start the academy players just to fuck with Pep and set us up for a moral victory no matter the outcome (if we lose it was just our kids anyway, if we win even our kids can beat City) so we can focus more on the more important competitions and not give too much away for a potential title decider at the UAE hellhole.

No disputes Raya is by far the better keeper but dropping Kepa for the final would be bad management. Also sends a negative message to any future #2 that it’s irrelevant if you helped take us to the final, sit on that bench for the biggest game.

Even if we somehow end up not winning the title it was all worth it for the Dowman goal, that’s what football is about. 60,000 people screaming RUN, our entire bench and coaching staff running to congratulate him. Awesome stuff. Also hilarious stats:

Winning a game when every single Arsenal starter except Dowman had a 2/10 performance is not gonna go down well with the narrative pushers

The so called rugged individualism is the root ideology for liberal democracy, i.e. what the west was founded upon. It does not mean that everything you do has no external factors. It just means your starting position is to care about your own needs before anyone else’s. Collectivism is the opposite, and means you care about the needs of others before your own. No one is 100% one or the other, it’s a balance and most of us fall close to the middle. But left unchecked, societies will tend to one end of the spectrum more than the other, and this will eventually lead to hyperindividualism (the TikTok society) or hypercollectivism (everyone serves the state).

@ArsenalReport @curtis_yarvin What’s the difference between contemporary American individualism and isolationism? And why do you think your idea of individualism might not ever check with the reality of it?

@ArsenalReport @hecubian_devil @curtis_yarvin @grok I'm not scared of that idiot. But it is hilarious to see you (a person who is almost certainly racist) argue that a guy who constantly plays apologist for slavery/apartheid and is super into "race realism" bullish is not, in fact, racist.

@therealestfeel5 @curtis_yarvin No one claimed there is such a thing as 100% individualism, but even then you’re confusing the term with isolationism. Individualism doesn’t mean other people don’t exist. It just means your starting point is yourself, not other people around you.

@ArsenalReport @curtis_yarvin Pure individualism is absolutely a myth. When was the last time you were a pure individual for more than a day? When was the last time your work didn’t rely on someone else? Who raised you? Did you raise you?

@therealestfeel5 @curtis_yarvin Individualism is the foundation for liberal democracy, so no…it’s not a myth. The west was built on a foundation of individualism. If you’re saying it’s a bad thing then I agree, people thrive better in libertarian collectivism when they feel a connection to their neighbours.

@WorkWire @Mschatnoir False equivalence of course, but you will never understand. Even if it was 1:1 you’re saying that because this has happened in the past, it should also happen in the future. Which means you haven’t learned anything from history.

Will there ever be a day a scottish woman becomes leader of a Pakistani region and creates a video where she proudly in a thick Glasweigan accent surrounded by tartans and scottish stuff...announces she is the first Scottish mayor in Pakistan and it's been long long overdue and she will overcome the tyranny of Pakistan only ever electing Pakistanis to represent them ? why is the opposite happening here not considered as absurd?
