@DannyAarons Well it was good enough for us to beat arguably one of the greatest club sides ever assembled in 2005

Football is well and truly gone. It's a champions league final and you have a team just full on surviving for the full 90 minutes. All 11 players of their team is in their own box. This is not the sport I fell in love with.

@desso61 @GianniButtice No they wasnt, at no point did they once say anything. Its always been known there would be an end of season review they said nothing about keeping him or sacking him. Youre talking nonsense

Iraola is great for Liverpool but surely Xabi Alonso would have been their first choice? Former player, big club experience and got the best from Wirtz, Frimpong. It felt obvious. Did Xabi Alonso simply prefer Chelsea? He must have known Slot was on the edge.

@desso61 @GianniButtice Just not true though. Alonso is a possession based coach similar to slot. We want more intensity hence why alonso hasn't been approached since before slot

@GianniButtice Mate, Alonso‘s representatives would’ve been talking to Liverpool for the last six months. They made it clear that slot was staying on until the last few results when they got cold feet.

@ATLiverpool_ @jimflax But hes never had the resources to compete at the top. Look at how many top players hes lost at Bournemouth, including the whole back four and still ended up taking Bournemouth to their best ever season. Slot hasn't improved anybody this season and thats a massive concern

@jimflax Iraola has never managed more than 1.6 points per game, that's a big jump required.

So, a genuine question for everyone. Is it fair to expect a PL title & UCL finish within the next two seasons out of the next coach/manager? If they fail to meet those targets are they considered a failure and should be sacked? Curious to see the responses. #LFC

@ATLiverpool_ Then we wouldn't of made it. Iraola is also a fantastic coach who has a track record of improving young players and thats the route we seem to be going down. Whether he can handle the pressure we will see but for the expectations, last season was unacceptable.

@ATLiverpool_ But that isnt the reason though mate. The reasons are because number 1 hes lost the dressing room, 2 the style of play was dog shit. 3 lost what, 21 games? The only reason we qualified is because chelsea dropped off a cliff lets be real here. If the season lasted 2 more games...

@jonnyplfc6 There's a reason why we didnt go back for alonso because hes a more possession based style of play coach. We want high intensity football back and thats what we will get. Although I would of went for hoeness, iraola is a good fit too IMO but we will see

@jonnyplfc6 Its not about what hes won though. Its the style of play that hes going to be brought in for and his coaching of young players. Not one fan enjoyed the way we played this season. Lost what 21 games? Somewhere around there. The style and the results unacceptable its that simple

Not sold on Iraola can't be sacking a Premier league winning manager and bringing in someone who's biggest achievement in football management is top half with Bournemouth. Not convinced.

@El_manuel4 @WilsonCoxLFC Tonali is a more physical version of Wharton but still the Wharton profile. I've been watching him since his brescia days, we have plenty of midfielders similar profiles. We still haven't replace fabinho

@Average_Futter @WilsonCoxLFC Tonali isn't the same as AW. Tonali is more aggressive and a tackler too. AW is a passer n carrier. However, a caciedo profile is what we should be looking for. So I agree with you on that.

#LFC 🔴 🚨 The Liverpool Sporting Director Richard Hughes has been in close contacts with Adam Wharton and Yan Diomande’s camp over the last few weeks, Bradley Barcola has also been contacted aswell as some young talents. Hughes is expected to lead Liverpool into this summer then move on to Saudi for next summer. More changes coming over the next 1-2 years in the hierarchy.

@WilsonCoxLFC We need 2 wingers. Anything short of that is a waste of time. AW also isn't the profile of DM we need. I am seeing reports on Tonali...I will prefer him over AW.

@Biggies_MaIIs Played well? We dont create anything, we have the most set piece goals conceded this season, lost twenty fucking games, midfield non existent every single game, concede stupid goals every single game. Hes had all season to sort this mess out and its still the same tripe

Thought we played well. Their goals all came from chances that weren’t really chances and we limited them to no other chances. Slot coached a win, but was let down by the players. With two fast wingers, we win that game 4-0 👍

@Biggies_MaIIs Agreed. I am sick of seeing these stupid slot out posts, when it’s obvious he isn’t to blame for poor decision making on field and injury problems off it. Lack of squad depth hasn’t helped but I am more than willing to give slot this summer to get the players he wants.

The mutinous mood inside Anfield sent a clear message to the hierarchy about the scale of the unrest. A Liverpool manager hasn't faced this level of dissent on home turf since the final throes of Hodgson's reign. This was the day when patience snapped. nytimes.com/athletic/72658…

@dhg23 @JamesPearceLFC He is still responsible for intensity, tactics, fitness etc. Yes been many mitigating circumstances such as key injuries etc. But basic level of performances all season long have been way below standards. 19 defeats is not acceptable for where we are meant to see ourselves

@JamesPearceLFC Many ironies not least Slot starts Ngumoha and still gets it in the neck! For taking him off when clearly that’s his game limit as yet. Slot can be criticised for many in game things but he’s not responsible for an unbalanced squad weaker than his two main rivals.

@LewisFN00 I dont get why he gets so much hate. I think for the most part he's a quality squad player who should play much more. If people actually understands football they would appreciate the amount of forward passes and ball recoveries he gets for us.
