@SaoltaAdvocacy @ThePosieParker @fbunational @UnionSteveW It's because we live in a capitalist world were concerns about cost of living and wages and employment rights are just not as relevant as they once used to be.
English

@dougiebrimson @fbunational @UnionSteveW Reform voters should face sanction and ostracisation on the basis of being a bunch of entitled boomers who happily sold out the future generations and are acting as containment to stop genuine, serious candidates like Rupert Lowe.
English

@fbunational @UnionSteveW Assuming by 'far-right' you mean Reform UK so what do you think about your members who support and vote for them?
Are they to face sanction? Ostracisation? Unemployment?

@GraysonCra74011 @ClarkeMicah I agree with setting the clocks backwards, I like the sleep in, but not shifting them forwards.
English

@ClarkeMicah You're a miserable old fucker. Personally, Getting up for work in the morning will be so much easier knowing I'll still have a couple of hours or more to spend in the garden after I get home.
English

@DrWolf666666 @ClarkeMicah I agree with setting the clocks backwards, I like the sleep in, but not shifting them forwards.
English

@ClarkeMicah Given the clocks go back again later in the year, over a year it levels out so what's your point?
English

@ClarkeMicah @ClarkeMicah I agree with setting the clocks backwards, I like the sleep in, but not shifting them forward s. Wondering what you think about this and if it could be a good compromise? No policymakers are talking about it as yet.
English

@TheGhostSleepi1 Cameron's austerity did immense damage. His privatised Royal Mail is far worse than before. What good did he do?
English

Least worst to worst PM since 2006-
May
Cameron
Sunak
Brown
Truss
Blair
Johnson
Starmer
Pre 2006 but John Major is probably our greatest living PM which is pretty depressing because he was also pretty piss weak.
The Clermontian@The_Clermontian
Who was the 'least bad' PM of the last twenty years? Probably Cameron?
English

@TheGhostSleepi1 Not sure I'd put May over Cameron, but tbf Cameron did sort of fuck the pig so to speak over Brexit.
English

@RupertMyers I wonder if Hezbollah eat Sabra and if they do hooboy do I have a wicked smart idea for Mossad.
English

@numbers64149076 @CrownedNemesis @Landeur Btw low skilled labourers don't have this problem. They don't have a career to advance so to speak or as much drive for success or status. Nor do they have the opportunity to explore interesting (expensive) novel experiences. So kids actually fill a time void / listlessness.
English

@numbers64149076 @CrownedNemesis @Landeur If social expectations for child rearing and much higher than they used to be that incurs higher time cost.
And if then personal expectations for life are also higher that also incurs higher time cost.
And that collides with a fixed 24 hour length day. Not enough hours.

We are overpopulated.
We only produce about 50% of our own food supply right now.
We need to either increase food security or deport millions, not build additional housing and import the entire third world.
Maxwell Marlow 🇺🇦@maxwell_marlow
Important graphic borrowed from LinkedIn. We build on so little of the UK - there is space to build and house the next generation, to build factories, offices, and infrastructure. It is only our mad planning system which prevents us, and immiserates us.
English

@numbers64149076 @CrownedNemesis @Landeur I know a lot of people in the middle class who could comfortably afford kids - they're all homeowners with reasonably sized estates - but they're not having kids.
English

@BasedHoopart @CrownedNemesis @Landeur The middle class has uncertainty though, and the negative economic impact of starting a family is too great. People on benefits just claim more money for every child they have.
English

@BasedHoopart @Landeur I think in most mundane natural settings there is an abundance of visual, ecological etc interest. I don't think that iconic landmarks are the only natural occurrences worthy of appreciation
If there was no mankind, Earth would still be an unbelievable gem amongst lifeless rocks
English

@pissed_off_brit @Landeur @Donnamayna49019 Manufacturing requires large buildings and concrete slabs. The more we manufacture, the more concrete we need.
English

@Landeur @Donnamayna49019 We need to move manufacturing back to the uk rapidly
We don’t make fertiliser for our food
We don’t / can’t make the primers in any of our weapons.
Absurd.
English

@BDSixsmith @helenlewis "ruthless precision" 💀 😂 jfc you just bodied the man
English

@helenlewis I was only kidding. More seriously, I think he's aimed at the lowest common denominator (Aunt Mabel on Facebook) with such ruthless precision that he can be popular without being respected.

I’m fascinated by how disliked Matt Goodwin is *on the right*. I expected some tribal wagon-circling that just hasn’t appeared.

'That is a fact.' 'It's an opinion!' @GoodwinMJ and @andytwelves continue their debate on statistics used in Matt Goodwin's latest book about the language spoken by young people in the UK.
