Hello babe how are you doing. I hope you’re well. Yooo I’ve got a huge problem been crying the whole day, so what happened is I’ve got a group of 11 ladies we give each other R1000 per month one person at a time like a stokvel so this month it was turn to get the money so when I sent them my banking details I accidentally put an incorrect number the last digit was supposed to be 3 instead of 5. Four of these ladies deposited into that account and when we realised that we tried calling the number but it goes straight to voicemail. called Capitec bank they told us that they can’t dispute it without the recipient’s concern. Unfortunately they also can’t get hold of the recipient. My biggest concern is that incases like this where the recipient doesn’t use that money for whatever reason could be dead or doesn’t use the accounts anymore but did go to the bank to close it Capitec bank will debit bank charges every month on that account until the money is finished. I feel like that some kind of fraud so besically you gave Capitec money nje that’s not fair and other banks do revers money even though you won’t get it the same day. @CapitecBankSA

@LesediMbona Yes some banks not Capitec. At FNB if the account is wrong compared with the name it rejects it so why can’t Capitec do that
