Being from nearby Hendersonville, Josh Berry is "really heavily in support" of the CARS Tour racing at Nashville Fairgrounds. The biggest hope Berry has is that the fans come out and support the race, and I spoke with him further about if Dale Earnhardt Jr. spearheading the event can tip the scales locally for revitalizing the Speedway. Berry acknowledged that some of the politics surrounding racing at the Fairgrounds have been there since he was young and actually compared its circumstances/location to what a track like Fontana faced as opposed to North Wilkesboro's revitalization. "It's just really valuable land. We've seen that with the apartments they've built around the place, the soccer stadium. It's valuable land in that area, and that's what they're working up against. "... The value of the land is so high that that's what makes the constant bickering back-and-forth about what's it best used for." Berry says putting on big shows like they should have Saturday night can only help the Fairgrounds. As for Dale's role in getting the Speedway's revitalization over the top locally given all he's doing between promoting the CARS Tour race and competing in it himself - "I don't know what else he can do, unless he wants to run for Mayor or something."

Well said, @UofSC. As the university’s chancellor put it: “A hallmark of a college education is exposure to opinions and ideas that may be far from your own.” If speech is protected by the First Amendment, it’s allowed on a public campus. Full stop.

SCOOP: This video promoting a DRAG QUEEN EVENT is being broadcast on the University of South Carolina campus. .@UofSC is using YOUR tax dollars to host and promote this trash.
