@nafragous Rule Number One as an Author: DO NOT GO AFTER REVIEWERS WHO DIDN'T LIKE YOUR BOOK. This is not a difficult concept. Someone took time and effort to review your book, even if they didn't like it. Personally, I would appreciate the effort put in.

The fact that Crowley and Aziraphale didn't actually DO anything to save the world is the entire point. We joke about them being useless, but what they were in this moment was exactly what angels and demons were always intended to be: influences. Humanity saved the world.

Crowley suffered for 6000 years, was rejected, slept on the street for years, got a day with the love of his life where they constantly fought before killing himself along with everyone he ever loved. And this is supposed to be a happy ending in a comedy. Got it.

Let's be honest. If #Goodomens3 had just ended with the restoration of the old universe as it was and Aziraphale and Crowley alive, in love, and kissing as an angel and demon, no one would care about any assumed implications or philosophies about God and free-will. NO ONE.

@kataurah I would have preferred the message "queer characters deserve to heal and love and live as they are, and death and a new and "better" world is not the only way to achieve peace and happiness that can be found in the life you already have." That would have been enough for me.

@CathyWriter24 I would care. Ideally I’d like both a happy ending and for stories to make me think. But I’d rather a story that has something to say rather than a banal “they all lived happily ever after”

Again, THIS is why so many of us just cannot accept the ending for Good Omens 3 and are sad and angry about it. Because it's not hopeful. It's bleak. And Pratchett's story was not bleak.

@CathyWriter24 I can't say I'm"sad", "angry"or so and I'm not going to harass the cast and crew. But indeed, in this GO3, there's a kind of compliance to the darkness and the renewed religious fears of the times we live in that upsets me(btw that's why there's no kiss or physical intimacy IMO).
