This was our chance to hold @Essex_CC councillors accountable. Instead, we’re stuck with a Tory-led ECC until LGR.

@OTBC69 @yourcolchester There is no consultation on the actual proposal, only some details. For good or bad the government have said ECC and CCC are for the chop. There are merits in unitaries but it would have been nice if the government had asked local views before deciding.
