It was a great day @NEStatePatrol State Headquarters. We were joined by our friend, Missouri State Highway Patrol @MSHPAlerts Lieutenant Colonel W. Ahrens, to assist with an executive leadership promotion panel. We appreciate his time, perspective, experience, and leadership as we work to select our next Eastern Division Major. Special thanks to my friend MSHP Colonel Turner for sharing your talented team with us, we look forward to returning the favor. 🇺🇸

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of spending time with six former Colonels of the @NEStatePatrol, leaders whose service, integrity, and dedication have shaped this agency across decades. Spending time with those who have previously held this role is a meaningful reminder of the legacy we continue to build upon. The Nebraska State Patrol strength comes from its history, its people, and the traditions that have guided us for nearly a century. I’m grateful for the insights shared and for the continued support of those who helped shape this organization. Together, we remain committed to serving the people of Nebraska with professionalism, pride, and purpose. Honor the past. Live the present. Reimagine the future. 🇺🇸 Pictured from left to right: Retired Colonels Brad Rice (2015–2017) Tom Nesbitt (1999–2005) Brian Tuma (2005–2011) David Sankey (2011–2014) Harold LeGrande (1987–1991) John Bolduc (2017–2025) and myself, Bryan Waugh (2025–present).

Here are a few of the faces behind the calm voices here in dispatch who direct Troopers to calls for service. Our Western Communications Center covers 54 counties. Happy Dispatchers Week and thank you Colonel for today’s lunch.

Proud of SRO Weller for helping @KearneyPolice expand the D.A.R.E. program to Central Elementary! Not a better venue to hold graduation than the Merryman! Our goal still stands to expand D.A.R.E. to each elementary school in the district. Congrats Cardinals, and well done!

NSP extends its full support to the DCSO. Our thoughts are with the injured deputy, their family, and the entire DCSO team during this difficult time. We are grateful to hear the Deputy is in stable condition, and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.

Hands down, one of the best days of my week. It’s always great to spend time with our Nebraska State Trooper Recruits during camp. It all starts here for our agency! Culture, Vision, Goals, Leadership, Expectations, Accountability, Drive, Commitment, Humility, Authenticity. NSP State Troopers are made here. Thank you to our entire Training Academy Staff, TAC Officers, NLETC partners, and all the families of our recruits. Halfway, turn and burn, see you at graduation! #NSPCamp73 🇺🇸

Every Friday during training, our recruits are inspected by a member of the NSP Command Staff. Yesterday @ColonelWaughNSP inspected Camp 73. These recruits are just over halfway through the Training Academy. Next week: Emergency Driving

A trip to the @NEStatePatrol Training Academy isn’t complete without visiting our top shelf @NSP_DogDivision. It’s always impressive to see the dedication, patience, and pride our Troopers bring to this specialized training. Huge shoutout to Trooper Rice & PSD RJ and Trooper Royle & PSD Phoenix! These teams are working hard toward dual purpose certification in both narcotics and patrol. I’m proud of the entire PSD Unit and the vital work they do to protect and serve Nebraska. 💪🏻🇺🇸🚔🐕

Proud! Well done 449! 🇺🇸🚔

Trooper C. Miller (#NSP449) reached a milestone in his training and received his first patrol car. Once a probationary Trooper shows significant progress in his field training they get their car, w/ their badge number, and move on to a semi-solo status. Congratulations #449!!

@NSP_TroopD delivered bicycles to the Guardians of Children in North Platte this week. Being a part of a group that supports children who have experienced abuse & other life changing events is humbling. We appreciate our sponsors for allowing us to give back to our communities.
