@FFT1776 I've always thought Pole Vaulting should have a spotter that grabs the pole once the vaulter lets go of it so they don't get skewered. I realize this is probably the same probability level as running into a patch of quick sand, but it still bugs me.

I've written about this before, but it's remarkable how much older music is strangling new music. And the same is true in books, movies, video games. Older media is taking up a bigger and bigger share of the market every year.

This band formed in 1982 in Hollywood. ‘Dance Along the Edge’ was released in 1987 and surprisingly failed to reach any major music charts. The vocalist has said this song is about “the edge between people and their fear of stepping over it. The fear of surrender and of being hurt. We suffer from the fear of opening up.” 👉🏻 Name the band.

Feels like the surge charges, lack of availability, etc. has just destroyed Uber and Lyft. Anytime I’m arriving at airports or train stations now, I’ve found myself using taxi cabs again. They’re always right there, usually cheaper, and often a much more pleasant experience.

@WallStreetApes Roseville? Damn, that's way up near Rocklin, CA. Thought that was near hillbilly levels of living for California. Just crazy something like that would happen so far into the boonies.

California resident says she was in the women’s restroom with her very young children at Whole Foods A man walked into the women’s restroom, “He's like a pretty buff guy wearing this itty bitty girl's skirt” She tells him multiple times this is the women’s restroom and he needs to not be in there, he’s making her and her kids uncomfortable “And he's just like ignoring me. And I tell him again. And then he looks up at me finally and he's like, do you not know the California law? I don't care about the rules, the law. Like get your butt into the men's restroom. Like there's a woman in here, girls in here, kids in here. Like that is so inappropriate. It was at Whole Foods in Roseville and that just made me feel so uncomfortable and just disgusted and honestly pissed off. So stay in your lane, like go to the men's bathroom. Like why is it that hard?”

@WallStreetApes California is a broken failed state, it’s only inertia that has kept the facade of “4th or 5th largest economy in the world” schtick for Gavvie. We are like Wile E Coyote that just ran off a ledge but we are hanging in the air for a moment.

The new ‘LAX People Mover’ at the Los Angeles Airport is finally being tested This elevated train connects to terminals and parking and was supposed to open 3 years ago. It is now $1 billion dollars over budget. Costing $3.4 billion dollars Here’s a list of things that cost less than this new 2 mile LAX Airport Train: - The Beijing High Speed Rail $2.3 billion. 75 miles of train for half the cost of our 2 miles - Paying $100,000 to every homeless person in the city of Los Angeles - Overthrowing the government of Venezuela - The Apollo 11 mission to the moon (not adjusted for inflation) - The third tallest building in the world - The second tallest building in the world - Both these buildings COMBINED is still cheaper than the 2 miles of train at the LAX airport The cost of this 2 miles of train at LAX airport is $4.9 billion (this is the estimated cost to complete and operations)

Every day we see layoffs at major American companies. Then we see these same companies hiring people on H-1B visas. There should not be one H-1B visa issued to any company that lays off Americans. Not. One.

California just passed a bill to seize Bitcoin left idle on exchanges. After 3 years of inactivity, assets can be taken by the state under 'Unclaimed Property' laws. Bill now heads to the Senate.

Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) is currently ~9x safer than the average human driver Because of this massive safety advantage, auto insurance providers like Lemonade are now offering Tesla owners up to a 50% discount on their per-mile premiums when FSD is engaged Choosing Tesla FSD driving is not just safer, but it also directly saves you money

My problem with ending birthright citizenship is that we are clearly incapable of deporting the tens of millions of illegals already here. So we will create a massive population of non citizens living side by side us. That’s a recipe for disaster.
