Two years in, I’m ready to say that the four-team Playoff was superior to the 12-team Playoff in most ways. It succeeded in identifying the best team, protected the regular season and preserved some good non-CFP bowl matchups. Also, fewer decisions for the committee to screw up.

The 4 team playoff was the perfect balance because we had a playoff with 4 great teams and non-playoff bowl games still mattered
