If you're a man with no social life, here's the rule that changes it: Say yes to every social opportunity that comes your way. Every single one. The improv class? Yes. The talent show? Yes. The woodworking flier? Yes. It will hurt. That resistance is exactly why you need to do it. I did this for one month straight when I was isolated as hell. The result was momentum. Real conversations. Actual community. Women started appearing naturally. Friendships that are still in my life years later. One month of radical yes. That's all it took to go from empty calendar to more opportunities than I could handle. Say yes to the next thing today.

MDMA, psylocybin, and ibogaine get fast-tracked FDA review status. I don’t know how this came about, but its time, and the right call. For the past few years I’ve been educating myself and others on the benefits, experience, and safety of psychedelic and plant medicines. I’m particularly interested in these medicines to be a catalyst of growth, healing, creativity, and awakening for leaders and executives. In addition to offering psychedelic integration coaching for the past few years for my clients, I now am an instructor for the Psychedelic Sitters Training with Being True To You to continue to share knowledge and best practices to support best-in-class outcomes. These medicines require a great deal of personal responsibility and the right whole-person orientation support. In addition, I believe they require an understanding of consciousness, sacred space, energetics, and more... If someone decides to pursue these medicines they should have access to the best whole-person guidance and support. Unfortunately in our current environment that isn't always easy or accessible. The medicalized model is a model that will probably take the lead because of money (duh!), however it won’t be the best model for everyone. Regardless, this is great news and a step in the right direction. npr.org/2026/04/18/nx-…

The year is 1950. Your doctor lights a cigarette and tells you smoking is fine. He read it in a study. He is telling the truth about having read it. He does not know, or is not saying, that the study was funded by the tobacco industry. The year is 1958. Your doctor tells you to eat less fat. The evidence is contested. The contestation is not in the public messaging. The food industry has been helpful in clarifying which findings deserve attention. Some researchers who published contradictory data have been quietly defunded. Ancel Keys is on the cover of Time magazine. The year is 1962. Your doctor prescribes thalidomide to your pregnant wife for morning sickness. It has been approved. The FDA gave it the green light in Europe. Twelve thousand children will be born with severe limb malformations before anyone in an official capacity acknowledges the problem. The families are told the drug was safe. The drug was approved. Both of these things remain true. The year is 1972. Your doctor prescribes Valium. Britain is in the grip of a benzodiazepine wave that will last two decades. The dependency risk is known internally. It is not shared. Your doctor is not lying to you. He was not told either. The year is 1999. Your doctor prescribes Vioxx for your arthritis. It is newer than ibuprofen, well-tolerated, and Merck has a study showing it works. Merck also has internal data suggesting it roughly doubles the risk of heart attack. This data will not reach your doctor for four more years. Fifty thousand people are estimated to have died in the interim. Merck eventually settles for 4.85 billion dollars. No criminal charges are brought. The year is 2002. Your doctor prescribes OxyContin. Purdue Pharma trained its sales representatives to tell doctors the addiction risk was less than one percent. That figure came from a letter, not a study. The letter was about patients with terminal cancer on short-term doses in hospital settings. Your doctor is a GP with a patient who has a bad back. Nobody draws a distinction. Nobody is required to. The year is 2008. Your doctor checks your cholesterol. Your LDL is elevated. You are prescribed a statin. Nobody mentions that the number needed to treat for primary prevention is approximately 250. Nobody mentions that the muscle deterioration you'll notice over the next two years is listed as a rare side effect rather than a documented pattern affecting a meaningful percentage of patients. The trial that informed the prescription was funded by the manufacturer. Now it is today. Your doctor has new guidelines. New studies. New consensus. He is confident. He has always been confident. The confidence has never been the problem. The confidence is, in fact, precisely the problem.

In double-blind placebo-controlled trials, 'gluten-sensitive' people who *think* they're going to eat gluten have reactions. But if they don't expect gluten, there's no reaction. Expectancy has a bigger effect than actually eating gluten!

@ManaByte Invoking a science fiction movie to make a point is beyond retarted. The surface we dwell on top of is measured and traversed horizontally by way of elevation angles. You might want to stop watching movies and start thinking for yourself

We're not going to travel beyond the solar system, according to Leonard Susskind. And neither are aliens, coming to visit us. We may not be alone, but we are stuck here for, essentially forever. 1. The nearest star is 4.24 light years away. The fastest spacecraft ever built would require 6,600 years to get there. 2. Surely we can just build faster spacecraft. The problem is to get to anywhere close to the speed of light, we need exponentially more energy. 3. Chemical rockets will just not work. Even fusion rockets won't work. Even 10% of the speed of light is not achievable. The Tsiolkovsky Rocket Equation prevents it. 4. Interstellar dust becomes hand grenades when traveling anywhere close to the speed of light. Ships break. 5. Space radiation will kill us over the time need to travel interstellar distances. Impossible to protect without massive shields, which require massive energy to accelerate and de-accelerate.

a history professor who’s spent 30 years teaching europeans how the holocaust happened just compared precision strikes on iran’s nuclear sites missile bases and terror command centers, zero boots zero endless war zero civilian cities glassed, to germans enabling hitler. the iranian regime has murdered its own people by the tens of thousands, executed gays, apostates and women who take off hijabs. funded hamas, hezbollah, houthis and chanted death to america while attacking us for 47 straight years. that’s the actual genocidal madman you’re simping for you absolute fraud. the holocaust was 6 million jews systematically gassed. trump just stopped a terror state from getting the bomb. your front-row seat is to your own deranged tds rewriting history so you can cry “nazi” at the guy finally protecting america instead of sending the mullahs more pallets of cash like obama and biden did. your entire career is now exposed as performative garbage.

I've taught European history for 30 years. Americans have always asked me how the Holocaust was possible, how Germans could have enabled a madman reveling in mass murder to carry out his plans. Now we can see in real time how this is enabled; now we have front-row seats.
