@Folke @LosFarmosCTL Bro, OpenCode + Codex is such a powerhouse combo that you'll not gonna miss Anthropic. That said, I’m definitely not against Claude Code, the only thing I hate about it the memory consumption, but in the end is good tool.

I love the idea of opensource coding agents like Pi and OpenCode, and to an extent OpenClaw, but how do people actually use this with SOTA coding models without burning literally $1000 per month? Especially with multiple agents. I stick to Claude Code with my Max plan ($200) because of that. (And because it's awesome). What am I missing here?

opencode 1.3.0 will no longer autoload the claude max plugin we did our best to convince anthropic to support developer choice but they sent lawyers it's your right to access services however you wish but it is also their right to block whoever they want we can't maintain an official plugin so it's been removed from github and marked deprecated on npm appreciate our partners at openai, github and gitlab who are going the other direction and supporting developer freedom

After months testing AI terminal CLIs, OpenCode won for speed, simplicity, and community vibe. Claude Code had hype but felt clunky. Gemini CLI was the hardest one: random HTTP errors, slower, plus rough UI responsiveness.

I can't believe someone would just steal from Anthropic like this. The millions of man-hours Anthropic spent hand-writing code, text, art, books, etc. to generate enough data for training must be taken into consideration here. Where is the respect for IP?

You need to remember that everyone who is saying AI will replace all jobs today - they said remote work during covid the nee normal. They all call back to office in 2-3 years. Count the same for the AI jobs - they will call people back to fix the randomness and robotic behavior ai created.

@meabed IDE’s git diff over any AI agent’s internal viewer is the clear winner =). CloudCode, OpenCode, gemini-cli, you name it, the diffs are mid at best. That said, OpenAI’s Codex is the clear winner for multi-agent orchestration. The UI is top-tier!

trying codex app and cli my first impression is way better than opencode ... I suffered opencode diffs, terminal and crashes... i might more away from claudecode... looks nice and perform so good too!

I think I'm starting to understand the appeal of gen AI. It makes people think like they are winning at some game while the game they are playing is actually the wrong one. Just like gambling. Casino always wins.
