🚨🚨NEW AT @NoCeilingsNBA 🚨🚨 Christian Anderson is a star in plain sight at Texas Tech. I profiled his game, compared him against his 2026 guard peers and current NBA Star guards pre-draft, and why I’m so high on him as an NBA lead guard. open.substack.com/pub/noceilings…

What a shot from Victor Wembanyama to send the Spurs to the playoffs for the first time since 2019. Unbelievable player, loaded team. I would NOT want to face Wemby in the postseason.

Keaton Wagler is showing off the entire package early against Penn. Drive-and-kick assists, soft touch at the basket, pull-up threes. One of the best guards in the 2026 NBA Draft.

What I will say about Dailyn Swain: I don’t buy him being a primary NBA option. BUT. Given how he started his career as a defensive Swiss Army knife at Xavier, and is now running the show for an SEC offense, he’s gotten a lot of experience learning skills that should benefit him scaling up/down in the NBA as needed. Wings need experience with the ball in their hands arguably as much as guards given where the modern game has continued to go. So although the role may not look the same, I’m interested in seeing Swain in an NBA system where he can lean more into his defensive identity than he’s been able to at Texas.

AJ Dybantsa is doing everything in his power to try and will BYU to a win. He’s looked like the incredible player he’s been billed to be. Credit to Dailyn Swain, Tramon Mark, Matas Vokietaitis, and Sean Miller’s Texas squad for having the lead on BYU.

With all due respect to the isolation “metrics” there is no better isolation player in the country than AJ Dybantsa.

@KevinOConnor He’s been a good pull-up shooter from distance when he has space, but I agree the lack of mid-range game (today) doesn’t help when all of his passing options are taken away

Cam Boozer's lack of vertical explosiveness is definitely the #1 thing NBA scouts question. Showed up a lot today against Siena. Also wish he was a better pull up shooter off multiple dribbles...

This is the first game I’ve seen this year in college basketball that’s made me legitimately consider moving off Cameron Boozer at the top of my board. I won’t overreact to one game, but he’s looked legitimately overwhelmed today on both ends of the floor. Definitely provokes Q’s

@JeremyWoo Cayden Boozer has swung above his weight for weeks now and deserves a massive chunk of credit for Duke being where it is now

Weird day for Cam Boozer, Duke escapes. Siena gameplanned well - stayed home, made him attack a set defense, clogged the paint effectively. Underscores you need a rim protector next to him - Duke misses Ngongba. Cayden Boozer and Isaiah Evans stepped up and deserve credit.

March Madness is the greatest postseason event in the sports world because of what it means to so many players who may not even make it to the NBA. Guys are fighting for pride, to prove they’re on the levels of the high-major talent, to accomplish something great with the time they have in college. Every single-elimination game is a slugfest. And ANYTHING can happen in this tournament. That’s what makes it so special. I’ll forever love the NCAA Tournament. And salute to all of the young men (and women in the women’s bracket) who are playing all 40 mins, giving it their all to do something incredibly special!

@BrianJNBA That’s exactly why no one should overreact to today, but there’s legitimate things on tape today that make you ask questions is all I’m saying.

We’ve seen Boozer have inefficient nights, or turnovers, or bad defense. But in this game, the pressure by Siena has REALLY gotten to him and it’s affected his pace/decision making all over. And that’s the difference.

Haven't watched enough of the first half of Duke-Siena, but from what I did see, Cameron Boozer has just got to give more of a damn effort on defense. He's not an elite defender, but he's very capable of being more aggressive than what he's been.

I don’t think Ajay was an obvious prospect even having the hindsight. The shooting happened during 1/3 years on low volume, and a lot of what he’s done with the Thunder has been predicated on rapid shooting development even while having all of those other indicators you called out. If I were to take lessons away from Ajay and why he should’ve been higher (apart from if I was working for a team and had the ability to travel, watch him in practice, etc.), it would be what I uncovered for a bunch of multi-year guards or senior guards which is respectable AST/TO ratio with very high AST/USG rates. The 2P% is a good callout too, but I’m not obsessed with rim frequency. I care about paint touches and what a player does when taking that space. If they’re really good mid-range pull-up scorers, and 3P pull-up shooters with on/off ball versatility, I value that as much as I would rim attempts (though no exceptions on having to be good at finishing when taking those rim shots). So this class, has a lot of dynamic shooters at PG who are also very high assist rate guys and have at least 2:1 ratios or better. They’re all creative scorers/passers who can toggle between both at the right times when we’re talking about the usual top guards. The only one I don’t trust as a shooter is Flemings, but he has real pluses in those Ajay-like areas you outlined. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed talking about these guards at length.

This is one thing I can't get over with the draft. If I just look at Ajay Mitchell advanced stats and some of the tape; his level of rim pressure, 3 level ability, basically 50% FTr, 55% 2pt, and enough stock rate with an 8'5 standing reach, THAT would be a lottery PG.
