🚨🚨NEW AT @NoCeilingsNBA 🚨🚨 Christian Anderson is a star in plain sight at Texas Tech. I profiled his game, compared him against his 2026 guard peers and current NBA Star guards pre-draft, and why I’m so high on him as an NBA lead guard. open.substack.com/pub/noceilings…

@arhooptalk @StephenGHoops I had Kon ranked higher than VJ last year in the draft, and I thought the 76ers should’ve taken him. I don’t think that would’ve been “wrong” in a vacuum, but clearly VJ just fits so well with this team. And no one denies he has the higher upside because of his athletic gifts.

@DraftDeeper @StephenGHoops I Understand that I was just wondering if you had a preference. For example, if you had to start a team, who would you pick? If you’d rather not answer it that’s fine.

I know we’re all excited about the 2026 NBA Draft, but topping this 2025 class will be incredibly difficult. So many impact rookies this year that are going to have LONG, productive careers leading to All-Star or even All-NBA spots. VJ Edgecombe off to a great start tonight!

@arhooptalk @StephenGHoops I think the 76ers made the right pick. Maxey and VJ bring out the best in each other, and chemistry is everything more so than ranking guys in a vacuum.

76ers have thrown 5 different guys at Jalen Brunson already and he’s cooked every single one of them. Holy smokes

Really fascinated to see the defensive matchups to start each half here by the New York Knicks. Who guards Maxey? Where does Jalen Brunson hide? How early and often does Mitch Robinson see the floor to guard Joel Embiid?

The Masai Ujiri hiring with the Dallas Mavericks is fascinating because of where the Mavericks are projected to fall in the 2026 NBA Draft lottery. That mid-late lotto range is filled with impressive guard talent, however a lot of them don't fit the mold of players Ujiri has drafted previously with the Toronto Raptors (with a notable exception in Malachi Flynn). There is one, however, who possesses the athleticism/length that Ujiri has prioritized at other positions while having great upside of his own: Mikel Brown Jr.

@zachkifer15 I would probably have him somewhere in the mid-late second round, potentially could be Top 45. I just don't think he's ready for the NBA, as he could gain a lot from further physical and on-ball development in college.

@DraftDeeper Good work, Nathan! Thoughts on Able potentially staying in the draft, and if he does where would he be on your board?

@JimGoins198672 I’m personally just not a big fan of Storr’s game and approach, but completely understand a team getting him on an UDFA Two-Way if that’s what it comes to.

@jansjay This was the board I just submitted for No Ceilings, but yes, I may still change that in favor of Caleb Wilson on my next update (which is what I said to Simon).

@DraftDeeper Yesterday you hinted at leaving DP out of your top 3. That was just for fun I see.

I project better in most areas outside of the shooting. I think he’s on a similar level as a shooter, both are streaky and doing most of their damage from the corners. I think PJ+ is a decent comp. And you can talk yourself into that player in a 11-20 range depending on board depth, but when factoring in how valuable the skill set is positionally along with how difficult it is to acquire that player, I personally want to value that more on my board and prioritize getting that player.

@DraftDeeper @StephenGHoops I think his outcome is somewhat close to the PJ Washington level we saw in Dallas’ Finals run. Do you agree or project even greater?

@DanCooperN467 Guys I would be willing to throw an UDFA/Late 2nd type of contract at, not currently Top 60 guys for me as the board is constructed. But far more of these guys will go back to school, meaning they could move up for me especially after combine week.

It's the certainty around him being a legitimate playoff forward that capitalizes on dribble, pass, shoot characteristics that are game changers at his position with the ability to guard multiple positions defensively. He can fit in nearly any lineup construction and make an impact right away. He may not have the "upside" as some below him, but he will end up being the most useful in a playoff setting, and that's a type of player you HAVE to draft. You can't trade for someone in his archetype easily, or acquire them in free agency.

Ball handling is definitely the area for improvement that would unlock a lot for him. Strength, especially core/lower body, would go a long way hand-in-hand with that. He’s got great passing vision and touch already, but being able to really play that middle area of the floor and hold his ground would make him a starter-caliber player.

Scheierman wants to get stronger this summer and improve his change of direction, and become more of a secondary, third playmaker coming off screens and pin-downs. Also wants to get better with finishing, floaters and angles around the rim.

This is what Philadelphia 76ers fans have been waiting for. Everyone’s on the floor and ready to rock and roll in the playoffs. That series win was worth it as someone who has been watching this team through the entire Process Era. Well done Philly!!

@dgm591 He’s been the most locked in to all of the little details during this playoff series more than any recent season in his career. He’s always been willing to be an irritant, but HOW he’s gone about his business has been HUGE for Philly.

Kelly Oubre buying into being a cutter, transition player, and active defender as opposed to the volume scorer he has been throughout his career has totally changed the perception of his impact on winning.
