India basically is a country of narcissistic SDE, their country is in such disarray that they have no hope at all
so the only thing they can do is project their insecurities and their cultural practices onto China (since China obviously succeeded where they failed) to make them feel better that even though it’s bad in India, at least China isn’t doing so hot either
it’s something that they have to believe in order to protect their sense of self
