🚨Didier Drogba on CAF's INSANE Ruling:
"My brothers and sisters in African football… today I speak with a heavy heart.
In January, we all watched Senegal fight with courage and defeat Morocco in a historic final.
It was a night of passion, sacrifice, and pride for the entire continent.
From Dakar to Abidjan, from Lagos to Nairobi — Africa celebrated its champions. 🌍
But now, months later, a decision taken in a boardroom has changed that story.
The Confederation of African Football Appeal Board overturns the result… and suddenly a victory earned on the pitch is taken away.
This is not just about one trophy.
This is about the credibility, the dignity, and the soul of African football.
Yes, rules must exist. Discipline must exist.
But when decisions arrive long after the final whistle, they create doubt, confusion, and pain.
They make the world question our organisation, our seriousness, our unity.
And we know how quickly critics speak.
They will point to moments like this to belittle the Africa Cup of Nations, to call it chaotic, to reduce its greatness.
But Africa is not small.
Africa has produced giants — players who have conquered Europe and inspired millions.
From Samuel Eto'o to Mohamed Salah, from Sadio Mané to Riyad Mahrez.
Our talent is unquestionable.
Our passion is unmatched.
What we need now is leadership that protects the image of our game.
Leadership that builds trust, transparency, and stability for the next generation.
If justice must be sought, then let it be sought — even before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
But beyond this case, we must look within ourselves and ask:
What future are we building for African football?
Because our fans live for these moments.
Our players give everything for that badge.
We must not allow uncertainty and politics to steal the joy of victory from our people.
Africa deserves respect.
African football deserves strong foundations.
We are giants…
and giants must stand tall together."
Greetings from Lusaka,
I speak on behalf of all Africans in saying Senegal are the only AFCON Champions of 2026 Africans know.
Anyone claiming to be a winner is forcing a relationship. Trophies are won on a football pitch, not in a boardroom.
That's it. That's the tweet !!
The CAF Appeal Board decided that in application of Article 84 of the Regulations of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Senegal National Team is declared to have forfeited the Final Match of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 (“the Match”), with the result of the Match being recorded as 3–0 in favour of the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF).

MBERENGWA
The situation in Mberengwa is dire. Three weeks of relentless rains have destroyed critical bridges—including Mabika, Jeka, and Pumula—and left communities like Danga Business Centre completely cut off. Access to healthcare, food, and emergency services has been severely compromised. While initial food aid was deployed, the damaged road network is hampering further relief efforts. The collapse of sanitation facilities and shelters now poses serious public health risks. All hands must be on deck to restore accessibility and scale up humanitarian assistance before we lose more ground.
Do not attempt to cross flooded rivers or swollen streams under any circumstances. Several lives have already been put at risk by reckless attempts to traverse these waters. The damage is extensive Govt intervention is underway, please do not deliberately ignore safety warnings. Infrastructure repairs will take time, but your cooperation costs nothing. Stay put, move to higher ground if necessary, and wait for official assistance. CPU is making efforts to reach every affected household, but needs the public to exercise patience and prioritise their own safety above all else.
🎙️ Reporter: “Do you believe you can pull off a remontada against Real Madrid at the Etihad?”
🚨🗣️ Pep Guardiola: “I don’t have Lionel Messi in my team, so I can’t guarantee a comeback. But I’ll do my best and leave the rest to God.” …..𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲
Govt strongly advises its citizens against enlisting in the military forces of other nations. We are gravely concerned for the safety and well-being of our nationals abroad. Reports received indicate that in such circumstances, our compatriots may not always receive treatment equal to that of those nations’ service members. Furthermore, in the event of a tragedy, the repatriation of mortal remains is a complex process that can deny families the crucial opportunity for closure. The safety of Zimbabweans and the peace of mind of their loved ones remain our utmost priority.
I visited Chikurubi Maximum Prison where I met Anymore Zvitsva following the horrific murders that left many families in Guruve traumatised and communities shaken.
Listening to his confession was deeply disturbing, but it was important for me to understand how such violence could emerge within our society.
My thoughts remain with the bereaved families who continue to carry the pain of losing their loved ones. No words can erase that grief.
As a nation, we must strengthen our values, protect our communities and support those affected by such tragedies. I pray for healing for the families and peace for the communities still struggling to come to terms with these painful events.
