@KersevanRoberto @lleopard11 @JomauxJulien @LionHirth @BurggrabenH @DoombergT @energy_charts Hydrogen can and will provide “semi infinite” storage much as natural gas does today. [Among countries wealthy enough to worry about GHGs.]

English

@lleopard11 @JomauxJulien @ElectronComm @LionHirth @BurggrabenH @DoombergT @energy_charts Won't work in any EU countries, not even the sunniest, year long.
Winter daytimes are too short, and no economically reasonable amount of batteries will allow households and/or commerce/industry to get off the grid. No way.
English

Have you heard about the cannibalization effect of renewables? And especially for solar?
Let me explain quickly. (1/x)
Thanks @LionHirth @BurggrabenH @DoombergT for some inspiration in my work.
And thanks @energy_charts for the great charts and data
English

@JomauxJulien @LionHirth @BurggrabenH @DoombergT @energy_charts That article was 7 years ago, so I’m certain a lot of work has been done since then.
Outsiders’ standard opening - the “pawn to K4” - is to claim insiders haven’t studied a topic (think anti-nuclear people claiming nuclear waste mgmt hasn’t been studied). They usually have.
English

@ElectronComm @LionHirth @BurggrabenH @DoombergT @energy_charts Ahah yes indeed. Nothing new. But it is interesting to see actual data as we are entering the phase where solar is getting serious.
But keep in mind that this concept is not well understood, maybe because we use too much the LCOE.
English

Actually, the more range you give consumers the more they want (data from Cox Automotive's EV survey)

Range anxiety for EVs 🚙 is disappearing as batteries 🔋 continuously get cheaper 📉 and more efficient 📈 Cc: @Noahpinion @JesseJenkins

@TransLink big sugary drink spilled (Ice Capp?) at end-of-train part of car 425 bound for Production Way. Not sure if you can attend to it before end of route, even paper towels would help. 🙏

@kaffjamesnewtow In steam methane reforming half the hydrogen comes from the methane. Electrolysis is roughly twice as water intensive. (Have to factor in water treatment, process water, etc)

$TSLA bad data breach:
-3K Autopilot complaints
-Internal code #'s to classify them
-Rules to leave no paper trail
-Likely many un-reported issues
Below is a short report on what blew me away. RT if you like it, as it'll be de-boosted by Musk

@StephanParlow @BertelSchmitt I wouldn’t think so because Mitsubishi Fuso seems like a different division. Wonder if Daimler wants to narrow its focus. 🤔

Tesla Inc. ($TSLA) disclosed to US regulators another fatal crash involving automated driver-assist systems, bringing its total to 17 since June 2021 when the government required carmakers to begin submitting data on these accidents. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

@TaylorOgan Oh, that’s a genius move for conveying “advanced tech”. Brilliant idea. 🎯
English

@tedstein Don’t think it’s been published yet. Hybrid will follow (in a year?) and a BEV version too.

@montana_skeptic The study is why he isn’t taken seriously in policy circles, and the litigiousness why few prominent people bother “Fisking” him. We all want reliable allies in life; for the climate sincere community, he’s the opposite.

@MidwestHedgie Maybe the NRA rebrands as the “Nukes and Rifles Association”? 🤦
