@jewssf @cezthesocialist I’m saying the overwhelming majority of Jews are Zionists. If you hate Zionists you hate almost all Jews. Antizionism is unavoidably antisemitic.

@ExiledBusker @cezthesocialist You're using racists and Jews as interchangeable terms. Of course there's a distinction between Jews who are racist and Jews who are not. Some people aren't comfortable with racists.

@ExiledBusker @PhilipProudfoot And you haven’t answered the question. Though I know the answer. You can’t let them in, cause then it won’t be a Jewish state, as jews would be a minority. So, while enjoying right of return yourself, you deny it to people continuously having lived there, who you kicked out.

Today’s Palestinians were once Jewish, then some became Christians, then later they became Muslims. The great stupidity of statements like this is that, if Israelis even want to make this argument, then it means they’ve committed a genocide against their ancient ancestors.

The Jewish people are indigenous to Israel.

@ilias_hdz @PhilipProudfoot Before 1948 they called themselves Palestinians. Most Israelis are from the region. There were fully arabized jews living there and in 1492 many Sephardic Jews settled there and mixed with them. By mid 19thC Jews were the largest group of people in Jerusalem.

@ExiledBusker @PhilipProudfoot How would you call Jews who lived in historic Palestine. Obviously, back then, Israel didn't exist either. So it wouldn't make much sense to call them israelis. Especially considering israelis are mostly not from historic Palestine in contemporary history.

@GenieFromTheB @PhilipProudfoot That’s the question isn’t it? How do we have an accommodation that’s fair to all. In Israel proper there are Arab Muslims with equal rights to Jews. But elsewhere the Palestinians make constant war on Israel and refuse all peace offers. Every war they fight they lose more & more.

@ExiledBusker @PhilipProudfoot Some of you left. Some remained. Can Palestinian refugees who left during Nakba come back on their territories by the same logic? There are Palestinians living continuously in Israel, so they should have the same right of return as jews have, right?

@seaplaneguy @Nadira_ali12 Judeans are Israelites. It is entirely unambiguous to say that as it is a plain fact. Not sure why your tiny brain can’t accept this basic and unarguable truth.

@ExiledBusker @Nadira_ali12 In 930 BC ancient Israel divided into "Israel" (lost ten tribes) and Judea (Judah and Benjamin). The ten tribes were known as Israel and Judahites were in Judea. This is basic history that all should know. The name Israel does NOT apply to Judahites. Name theft...fraud.

"The Romans occupied England in the 5th century, so anyone of Roman descent has a historical claim to the land." It's one of the best sketches I've ever seen, it is so accurate and highlights the situation in Palestine.

@ilias_hdz @PhilipProudfoot Jewish Palestinians are now called Israelis, but yes. There has never been a country called Palestine. Palestine is the exonym for Israel and later for Judea and Samaria.

@ExiledBusker @Nadira_ali12 The land of the "yehudi" is called Judea, and people in that land as citizens are Judean, NOT Israelites. The name Israel cannot be used for Judeans. It is fraud.

Jewish passengers flying from New York to Tel Aviv cover the airplane screens. Because electricity is forbidden on Shabbat. Yet torching Palestinians alive and kidnapping their children is somehow perfectly allowed.

@Crashandmemes bc Africans Brits are literally first gen maybe second gen in England with strong cultural ties to their respective group. They didn’t go through ethnogensis like BA who became a single people through centuries of shared struggle and survival. English blacks are just immigrants/

@DavidKlion @steveplotnicki Archaeology proves that Israelites (Jews & Samaritans) evolved as a distinct people from the Canaanites in the hills around Jerusalem. The fairy stories in the bible don’t mean anything.

David Klion@DavidKlion·
@steveplotnicki IMO the whole question is irrelevant. The organizing principle of the modern Israeli state is that Palestinians, who are unambiguously indigenous, do not have a right to their own land, while people whose indigeneity is *at best* rooted in tenuous ancient claims inherently do.

@DavidKlion Nope. It says that Jacob and his family were from Canaan, and their son Joseph migrated to Egypt to escape a drought where he and his people were enslaved. Moses leads them out of slavery and back to Canaan.

@au44865 @AChen50474715 @Nadira_ali12 The bible is not a historical document. And it says Abraham comes from Ur. Abraham is the traditional patriarch of both Israelites and Arabs. Archaeology tells a different story and proves Jews are indigenous and Arabs aren’t.
