Black History Month is here! While we take this time to honor Black history, Black excellence, and Black resilience, it's important to remember that this is also a year-round celebration. We are grateful to all of the people whose achievements shaped our past, present and future.

Next Wednesday our Scholar Support Team will be presenting a webinar to parents to discuss communication with your child! We know life, and motivation look very different these days, so it makes sense to ensure we are all communicating effectively to best support your child!

@nearpod We love using @nearpod at our school! From using Time to Climb or the Collaboration Boards, it helps aid in scholar engagement in these virtual times. We will continue to get our scholars voices with the voting feature in the collaboration boards!

We've been putting in the work to create the best system we can for our scholars and families to be engaged in their education starting online tomorrow!

We will be distributing chromebooks for the final time TOMORROW, March 19, 2020 from 10AM - 3PM. Two Locations (any scholar/family can go to either site): Democracy Prep Harlem Middle School, 207 W. 133rd St, New York, NY Bronx Prep Charter School, 3872 Third Ave., Bronx, NY

Our staff will be working from home during this time if you have any questions. If you need to reach out, you may contact any of our staff or school line from 9am-4pm.

DOESchoolFood will also be provided at any Democracy Prep school. To access the meals, your scholar should: Arrive at the main entrance and approach staff at the front desk Explain that they attend a DP school and that they are here for a breakfast or lunch meal
