What's the hardest thing about being a solo founder that nobody prepared you for?

Mostly here on X, replies, connecting with builders, showing the thing instead of announcing it. Walkthrough's a screen recorder so distribution is slow and human right now, not paid. Still figuring out what actually moves the needle, won't pretend I've cracked it. But got the few paying customers from X. How about you, what's working for you?

@_Chemist1 The dangerous ones aren't the open haters, you can see those coming. It's the people quietly rooting for a smaller version of you. Support that comes with a ceiling attached is the hardest kind to spot.

NEVER underestimate how dangerous it is to hang out with envious people. DO NOT rock with anyone that shows you even hints of jealously. Get rid of them.

@TTrimoreau How much of "building" is actually just being found. Everyone talks about shipping like it's the hard part. It stopped being hard years ago. The quiet, unglamorous truth is that nobody's struggling to build anymore, they're struggling to get anyone to look.

What’s something you wish more founders talked about?

@shivst3r These aren't two paths, they're the same one at different stages. Being early is just how you become the 1% before the field fills up enough to make it hard. By the time something's crowded, both doors are shut, early is the only window where mastery is still cheap.

The 2 ways to make it in CT: 1. Be the top 1% at one thing. 2. Be early to new things.

@Gavel_on_X Looking stupid is just the entry fee for learning anything in public. The ones who can't pay it stay comfortable and capped. Everyone else gets a head start that compounds, they were wrong faster, so they were right sooner.

Smart people are willing to look stupid until they get what they want.

You have 1,000 active users but not a single user purchasing premium What’s your next move?
