For 249 parkruns I have been guided using a tether. But today for my 250th #parkrun @Southportpkrun I ran untethered & it felt amazing! With the help of 4 #guiderunners who kept me safe and gave me verbal cues to get round I finished in 26:57 #Blind #BlindRunner #LoveParkrun

An absolute joy to be a guide runner for @barton_kell again If you have a visual impairment it needn’t to be a barrier to walk, jog, run or volunteer at your local @parkrunUK event Just contact the team via the event website We’ll do our best to provide any support you may need

"During conversations as a tail walker, a family of parkrunners asked me what I was doing for the rest of Christmas Day and I just told them 'no plans'. "They then went on to offer myself a place around their Christmas dinner table that day." 💬 Mark Herron 🌳 #loveparkrun

“I find speaking in public anxiety-inducing, but my @parkrunUK experiences helped me believe I can do this! It’s something we can all learn, it simply needs practice. The more I practised, the better + more confident I got” 👇 blog.parkrun.com/uk/2023/09/06/… @chrissiesmiles @PSH_A1674
