THIS IS THE BIGGEST HW3 update we’ve had in MONTHS. 2026.8.6 is not one build. From what I’ve seen across multiple cars, there appear to be 3 variants: 2026.8.6-A, B, and C. My car is on A, and it feels significantly improved. I’m doing 10+ hours of testing tomorrow to learn more. Here are a few confirmed changes: - Reduced Vision Monitoring (seen in A, B, and C) - Improvements to lane selection (A) - Overall smoothness improvement (A) - Roughly 15 to 25% latency reduction (A) - Matches Tentacle Speed to AI4 (the future prediction blue line is smoother and reacts faster, seems to be on A, potentially C as well) - MAJORLY improved “off-road” performance (more confident starting on rock or grass and finding the road without accelerator presses) - Obstacle avoidance improvements Let me know if any of you experience these as well, and check your service mode for your Bank A, B, Trip Weights and AP weights, make sure to leave them in your comment. #2026.8.6 #HW3 #FSD

Tesla just rewrote its compiler and runtime from the ground up using MLIR for FSD with v14.3 and I'm guessing ~90% of you can't explain what that means. on Tesla 2026.8.6 HW3 Intel Atom, the car told me that the right pillar was blocked or dirty with a small picture & was able to view it on the Dashcam. It was actually blinded. I am unable to view the small picture.

Why do I need a firmware update to use my own living room? Three years ago, I decided my house needed to be a "smart home." I spent $800 on WiFi-enabled lightbulbs. This was a catastrophic mistake. Yesterday, the internet went out for ten minutes. My wife tried to turn on the kitchen lights using the physical wall switch like a Luddite. The bulbs factory reset themselves. Now they cycle through rave colors while emitting a high-pitched pairing frequency. I spent my entire Saturday trying to connect my kitchen ceiling to our router using a 2.4GHz band. I am a 52-year-old man standing on a stepping stool screaming at a lightbulb because my phone can't find its Bluetooth signal. Tomorrow I'm going to Home Depot to buy $2 incandescent bulbs. I want my house to be stupid again.

@SdxTeslaNYC The only problem I have with superchargers is when I am towing an uhaul with my model Y. There is a lack of pull through chargers, so I have to block other chargers.

@SawyerMerritt my problem with Tesla Actually Smart Summon is the lack of connectivity. It starts okay by pulling out of the parking spot then stops thus blocking the roadway
