@ankurnagpal I use a default Gmail feature to block images from opening up on my emails. Which means mailing lists don't recognize when I open them up. Not sure many people do this though.

Made the painful decision to unsubscribe users on my newsletter after they stop engaging for 60+ days I send them 3 emails to re-engage but if not, I automatically unsubscribe Sucks seeing numbers go down, but should bring open rates back to 60%+ moving forward

🗞️ Noticias personales: Después de casi 4 años, dejaré de ser Partner en Platanus Ventures y en los próximos meses empezaré un nuevo negocio. 😌 Cuando empezamos. El escenario de startups en Latam era muy diferente cuando empezamos. Habían muy pocas oportunidades para fundadores empezando, y si no hablabas inglés perfecto, menos aún. Además, si eras fundador técnico, muchas veces no se te compensaba con el equity suficiente. Quiero creer que hemos aportado en algo a que eso cambie. Con PV he invertido en más de 80 (!) startups, muchas de las cuáles ya son negocios increíbles, y estoy convencido de que muchas van conseguir lo mismo en los próximos meses o años. Me da mucha satisfacción haber tenido voz y voto en esas decisiones. Hemos apostado por muchos equipos que probablemente no hubiesen recibido funding de otra forma. 💪 El equipo queda potenciado. Si bien yo ya no estaré full time, el equipo queda super potenciado. Con Paula como CEO, PV va a llegar realmente al siguiente nivel. Además se suman Raimundo, Paula Arellano y Natalia como partners. Con todos ellos y con la absorción de Platanus (software factory), el equipo queda increíblemente potente. 💛 Mis socios. He tenido demasiada suerte en mi cortísima carrera. Cuando llegue a trabajar con Jaime y Agustín, como empleado, rápidamente sentí que esa oficina en Los Conquistadores era el lugar donde tenía que estar, y Jaime y Agustín las personas de las que tenía que aprender. También fui muy afortunado cuando Jaime y Agustín me invitaron a empezar PV. Yo tenía apenas 25 años, y en retrospectiva, no sabía nada jaja La suerte siguió cuando nos juntamos con Paula y Joaco. Creo que el complemento de habilidades y personalidades que tenemos es bien único, y definitivamente es una de las razones por las que a PV le ha ido bien. Pero lo más importante para mí es que Jaime, Agustín, Paula y Joaco son personas increíbles, más allá de lo laboral. Estoy muy agradecido de que podamos seguir siendo socios en el largo plazo. 👏 La comunidad PV. Los fundadores y personas en los que me ha tocado invertir y compartir, son sin duda de lo más valioso de estos años. El haber tenido contacto permanente con fundadores tan bacanes me llevó a aprender y mejorar mi nivel más que en cualquier otro lado que pude haber estado. Espero que en mi nuevo rol pueda aportar aportar aunque sea un poco de lo que los fundadores PV me aportaron a mí durante estos años. 🔜 Qué se viene para mi. Para mí, se viene fundar una nueva empresa. Creo que estamos viviendo un cambio tecnológico que se ve solo una vez en 20 o 30 años. Puede ser el cambio tecnológico más importante de nuestras vidas, y quiero intentar construir algo alrededor de eso. Eso sí, primero me daré unos meses de break. Necesito descansar un poco antes de correr una maratón otra vez. Planeo aprovechar de ver más a mi mamá 😃
