American who fell in love with a woman in Iran. Separated by war and the longest blackout since Feb 19. Fighting for a benevolent Iran where families thrive.

I appreciate President Trump’s resolve to end the Iranian conflict peacefully and through diplomacy. However, we have to remember who we’re dealing with in Iran: terrorists, liars and cheaters. If this reporting is accurate, the idea that we would agree to a moratorium on enrichment rather than a ban on enrichment would be a mistake in my view. Would we agree to a moratorium for al Qaeda to enrich? No. The only difference between al Qaeda and the Iranian regime is that one is a Sunni terrorist organization and the other is a Shia terrorist state. They both have the same goal when it comes to the United States, Israel and the civilized world. No enrichment means no enrichment. Over 20 nations have peaceful nuclear power programs without enrichment capability. You can have peaceful nuclear power without enrichment, but you cannot make a bomb without enrichment. Again, no enrichment for Iran. They want a bomb and they cheat.

@Rubiesk Thank you for your passionate words and for standing with the Iranian people. The courage inside Iran is real and deeply moving — we saw it clearly in the January protests. Yet we must be wise. The regime’s brutal crackdown in early January showed how dangerous uncoordinated uprisings can be while people are isolated and silenced by the blackout. Right now, 90 million Iranians are enduring their 45th consecutive day of the longest internet blackout in history. Loved ones remain separated. Everyday voices stay silenced. Daily life is frozen in fear and isolation. The world’s support means everything — but the Iranian people need safe connection and clear leadership before any new uprising. We wait for the right moment and for Reza Pahlavi to give the call that can unify and guide a peaceful path forward. There can be no half-measures and no “IRGC-lite.” Real victory will only come when the entire repressive system is dismantled and Iranians can finally live safely, connected, and free — for the first time in 47 years. #IranFullLife #EndTheBlackout

The U.S. is right to hold firm and not rush back to the table. The Iranian people do not want another temporary deal that the regime will break the moment pressure eases. They want the entire repressive system — especially the IRGC — to surrender and be completely dismantled. The Iranian people are now on their 45th consecutive day of the longest internet blackout in history. Even families like mine — completely dependent on internet calls — remain entirely cut off. Families stay separated. Ordinary voices stay silenced. Most people still cannot live a full life. There can be no half-measures and no “IRGC-lite.” Real victory will only come when the entire repressive system is dismantled and Iranians can finally live safely, connected, and free — for the first time in 47 years. #IranFullLife #EndTheBlackout
