@AndreSegers I saw a post on Facebook about the game being modified to not allow for offensive names. Assuming the poster wasn't mistaken and this feature wasn't in the original game, then Nintendo did do some work to the game.

you almost have to respect how low-effort pokemon leaf green and fire red are on switch lol. no filters, no borders, no save states, no rewind, no options, no online. but hey, the games themselves are still good, so there's that

@AndreSegers What happens is that during the controller read loop, it would check on this and set the game back to the start address. (0x0100) on Gameboy if I remember correctly. I don't remember what that is on GBA.

@AndreSegers Is this sarcasm? 😅 It's hard to tell on the Internet. Most Gameboy games allow you to restart them by pressing A+B+Start+Select. On Gameboy Advance, that combination became A+B+L+R on some games.
