I’ve resigned myself to Curtis leaving. I think we’ll regret it. It also means we won’t have a single scouser in the first team squad.

I get the most intense feelings when I listen to The Sundays. It’s a strange combo of sentimentality, bittersweet longing for the past, and regret about things I never made happen. Music is so powerful!

Ludicrous that 3 years on from Wrexham/Notts season we are still no closer to 3 up, 3 down - and now there’s another situation where two National League teams have 100+ points, and still only one is guaranteed promotion. Yet the league above has 3 automatic promotion places - unfair & outdated

@eddiegibbs It's time for the players to give us a proper performance. If their apparant lack of enthusiasm stems from the manager, then they need to ignore his instruction.

🟥 No More Hiding, Arne #Everton 🆚 #LFC | #MerseysideDerby #PremierLeague This derby comes with edge, history, and Liverpool's Head Coach already preparing his excuses. Arne Slot has spent the buildup talking about height and physicality. It sounds like cover. It sounds like deflection. Liverpool doesn't need that. They need accountability. This season has slipped. Then stumbled. Then unravelled into something far below expectation. Forget talk of 'transition', this is abject failure. And too often the voice at the top has sounded distant, like a man watching events rather than shaping them. That cannot be allowed to wash. He's not a passenger. He's the one at the wheel. Everton will be ferocious. The ground will be loud. The tackles will bite. None of that is new. None of it is unfair. Liverpool have better players. They should play like it. The problem isn't the opponent. It's the softness. The lack of authority from the touchline to the pitch. When the manager looks for excuses, the players follow. Enough of that now. This game demands clarity. It demands fight. It demands a manager who owns the mess and fixes it. If Liverpool fail again, the excuses will ring hollow. They already do. 🔺 Predicted LFC Starting XI: Mamardashvili, Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Salah, Szoboszlai, Wirtz, Gakpo 🔺 Prediction: 2-2

"I'd definitely go with Rio and Salah - I'd probably hold Isak back...I can see the start of the game being a bit frantic really." "You don't really want another situation where it's half an hour in and Isak's touched the ball four times..." 🎥 The Friday Night | Erdinger

@FabrizioRomano It looked bright when the youth team beat Chelsea at Wembley, but we've got rid of most of them.

🚨 Arne Slot: “The future does look bright for us”. “For those who watched PSG game, the home one, fair to say future will be bright and were able to have more ball possession than them. 21 shots, more possession, high xG against team that has more ball possession”.

I love Alexis Mac Allister, he’s been brilliant for Liverpool, but I’ve gone into almost every game this season thinking “we’ll be better off if Mac Allister doesn’t start.” Doesn’t solve everything, but his lack of legs is such a big problem. So don’t start him tomorrow.

English families wanting to fly the St George’s flag on St George’s Day are now facing fines of up to £2,500. Councils are warning homeowners they must follow strict local planning rules before displaying their own national flag. You can fly pretty much any other flag you like - but show England’s flag on England’s day and they’ll hit you with a massive penalty. This country has gone completely mad.

@robbohuyton @KieranMaguire I think Alan Sugar said that he knew the Sky deal and Premier League would mean the extra revenues would go to players and agents, which was why he sold Tottenham.

Chris Bryant has been the Labour MP for Rhondda and Ogmore since 2001 and is currently Minister For Trade. Chris was privately educated at Cheltenham College and trained to be a Church of England priest. He later worked for the @BBC. Chris was once a member of the Conservative Party. During the expenses scandal of 2009, Chris was found to have ‘flipped’ his second home twice and claimed up to £92,000 in stamp duty, service charges, mortagage interest charges and other fees on his expenses. Chris is a member of the lobby organisation Labour Friends of Israel and was involved in the plots, coups and leadership bids aimed at taking down Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership of The Labour Party. In February 2024, Chris was heavily involved with Keir Starmer and @LindsayHoyle_MP in derailing the @theSNP ‘s motion for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. MP @KirstySNP Blackman said that Chris’ involvement and ‘damning revelations (showed that) Keir Starmer pulled every dirty trick in the Westminster book to wreck the SNP’s vote on an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.’ It has just been revealed (April, 2026), that Chris, in his role as Minister for Trade, misled Parliament over the sale and use of military aircraft parts to Israel. This occurred during his appearance before a Parliamentary Committee in September 2025. Chris was awarded a knighthood in 2023 for his political and public service. In his Register of Interests entries, Chris has stated that he derives ‘occasional income from media/journalism activities.’ The truth is that Chris has established a very lucrative second career from these activities. The @ElectoralCommUK website shows that Chris has received £53,535 in donations. But this only reflects a part of what extra income he derives from his parallel career as a writer, journalist, media presenter/celebrity and in-demand speaker. Chris’ donations and perks include: £2,000 from Rockridge Partners. £2,000 from banker Anthony George Watson. £5,000 from @WeAreTheMU £3,000 from @unisontheunion £7,320 from Labour Friends of Israel. Chris has made three visits to Israel over the years which have been organised by Labour Friends of Israel. ✈️ 🇮🇱 £69,426.50 declared book royalties from The Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS). £492 in tickets & hospitality from the @NationalTheatre 🎭 £302 in tickets & hospitality from The @ROH_London 🎶 £708 from @BloomsburyBooks to attend The Edinburgh Book Festival x 2 📖 £500 in tickets & hospitality from @warnermusic to attend a Pet Shop Boys concert. 🎵 £3,000 in tickets & hospitality from @UK_Music to attend the @BRITs 🎶 £3,160 in tickets & hospitality from @Channel4 to attend the @BAFTA Awards. 🎭 £500 in tickets & hospitality from @warnerbros to attend a screening of Wonka. 🍿 £1,795 in tickets & hospitality from @HarrietHarman for @Wimbledon 🎾 🍓 £1,247 from @ncpparking to cover parking costs at Cardiff Station. 🚉 £801.70 in tickets & hospitality from @SOLTnews for Vogue World. 🥂 A donation from Global CEO of The Talent Business Gary Stolkin. Amount undisclosed. £7,357,67 from the Qatar government for a visit to Qatar. ✈️ 🇶🇦 £2,500 from the EU Russian Centre for a visit to Russia. 🇷🇺 £4,678 from @ABColombia1 for a visit to Colombia. ✈️ 🇨🇴 With his approximate salary of £150,000, expenses, donations, income from speaking engagements, rental income, articles, books, TV appearances, podcasts and perks, Chris has prospered in his 25 years as an MP. And as an MP, Chris initially voted to retain the two-child benefit cap, voted to scrap the winter fuel payment to pensioners, voted for the welfare changes that will impact people who are disabled and unwell, voted against an inquiry into grooming gangs, voted to restrict trials by jury and voted for the new police powers to suppress protests and freedom of speech. ‘The Labour Party - On Your Side’. @UKLabour @Keir_Starmer @RhonddaBryant @RhonddaLabour @_LFI #LocalElections2026 #LabourDoorstep

A quick thread on the #Mandelson saga: - from a source who has been at the heart of the vetting process - Developed vetting is a long and complex process. It involves written evidence , a long questionnaire , conversations with family and friends. The main interview itself can take half a day .. at the end 🧵 ..1

The best thing about the forthcoming World Cup is that it will tell us what 75% of people involved in football and football infrastructure would love to do with football supporters if only they could get away with it.

Britain could have deregulated, cut taxes, rolled back the planning regime and let entrepreneurial capitalism drag us out of the mess we're in. Instead, we're banning pastry adds and discussing capping CEO salaries and if £35k/ year is a high income. We're doomed, aren't we?

If you’re wondering why your local high street is dying, have you considered the possibility that car dominance, poor public transport links, a lack of cycle lanes, and the absence of high quality street cleaning and green infrastructure are amongst the chief reasons?

Ricky Gervais DESTROYS Piers Morgan on Live Television in Religion Debate Ricky Gervais delivered one of his calmest and sharpest takedowns on religion in his interview with Piers Morgan, who accused him of being offensive and mocking people simply for saying he doesn’t believe in God. He explained that he doesn’t get offended when people thank God or pray for him. He treats every religion equally, “unlike religious people, I look at all religions equally.” Gervais says he lives a good, moral life without any need for heaven or hell to motivate him. And when we die, he says, that’s it, our consciousness ends with our biology.
