@AlexaGagosz #mabiz #mapoli What would have far greater $ impact for premium payers & taxpayers? Stopping expansion of big, high cost hospitals, & prohibiting them from acquiring primary care practices & insurers. The R.I.-based pharmacy giant also owns health insurer Aetna and pharmacy benefit manager Caremark, allowing it to control how medications are priced, prescribed, and dispensed bostonglobe.com/2026/03/20/met… via @BostonGlobe

#mapoli Politicians talk a good game on the #RightToChoose except when it applies to #consumers choosing their pets. They talk a good game about supporting #smallbiz except when deliberately put them out of business to please big, "non-profit" out of state interest groups with multi-million $ ad & lobbying budgets. All designed to so they can sell you dogs & cats as a monopoly to increase their bloated, non-taxed, hundreds of million $ budgets. So you buy your puppy online, with unvetted breeders or out of state from store friendly states, while MA shuts down small pet stores. Go figure, pro.stateaffairs.com/ma/legislature…

#mabiz #mapoli Beacon Hill pols are preparing to put #smallbiz pet stores out of business by prohibiting the sales of dogs & cats thru stores. Big "non-profit" interest groups with multi-million $ TV ad budgets want to eliminate competition & consumer #righttochoose. Yet out of state breeders, stores, internet sites "non-profit" importers are untouched. Raises clear question whether Beacon Hill is pro-choice & pro-small biz.

Congratulations to longtime RAM member Puritan Cape Cod (member since 1992 and RAMAE winner in 1999) on being named the recipient of the Visionary Award by Cape and Islands United Way. The award will be presented at the organization’s “Best Night of the Year” on June 26 at the Pelham House Resort, recognizing businesses whose leadership and generosity make a lasting impact in their communities. Known as a premier clothier and successful fourth-generation family business, this well-deserved honor reflects Puritan Cape Cod’s longstanding dedication to giving back and strengthening the Cape Cod community.

Today marks the 250th Anniversary of Evacuation Day—a pivotal moment when the Continental Army forced British forces to leave Boston. The Dorchester Heights Memorial in South Boston stands as a tribute to this victory and is a proud featured stop on the Veterans Legacy Trail. This landmark serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifice that defined the birth of our nation. As we commemorate #Mass250, we encourage you to explore the memorials and stories that shaped our Commonwealth. View the Veteran Legacy Trail Interactive Map: mass.gov/vetstrail

The vast majority of #smallbiz are pass-thru entities, meaning an income tax cut provides much needed relief. This tax savings is $$ they reinvest in the biz by purchasing land or equipment, upgrading facilities & most importantly, growing their workforce. #mapoli #mabiz

For many Massachusetts employers already navigating rising costs, reducing the state’s income tax could provide meaningful relief and strengthen the Commonwealth’s small business climate. massopportunity.org/content/blog/p…

Had lawmakers only heeded the warnings when first considering bills that resulted in rising energy costs. Much of the testimony noting these policy changes would result in higher energy bills for residents & #smallbiz were ignored. The consequences: skyrocketing bills. #mapoli
Chris Lisinski@ChrisLisinski

A deep, deep dive: why have so many on Beacon Hill gotten less enthusiastic about decarbonization and energy efficiency? It all comes back to an inescapable buzzword: affordability. #mapoli commonwealthbeacon.org/environment/ra…
