@bangacentral Young black men are digging in empty crates trying to find good mentorship and these are the black elder men they have to choose from. This country is steamrolling blacks and black men are having these infantile conversations.

@queenie4rmnola @Stevedavis23_2 Question: Do we ALL deserve better? Straight, gay, trans etc.

@ARashaadP @edisonj_3 Because everyone wants to accepted, loved and respected y their OWN community. So thankful for chosen family but to see and hear the hatred from your own community can be taxing. The tide is turning in the right direction finally.
English

@KansasSt1 @edisonj_3 Why would they envy the connection to a community that pushes that divide in the first place. Most gays find community amongst themselves. When a gay man is accepted in his community, the opposed is usually oppressed str8 men. Who remains caged in that community.
English

@rook_maren @edisonj_3 And that’s awesome for YOU but that unfortunately is not the journey of many of our gay black brothers and sisters. And generally speaking, the black community has a hard time accepting black gay men as a respected part of the community. Dialogue like this is needed.
English

@KansasSt1 @edisonj_3 Envy? Never.
Our families love us too, I’m more loved and protected than my straight brother - fact! He’s actually jealous of me (even openly) and I do feel sorry for him sometimes 😂
Still love him!💖
English

@Not_Good_End @edisonj_3 I understand and agree but I think most gay black men envy the acceptance and unconditional love that black straight men get from the black community and their families. And also, we are currently experiencing the black straight man’s comeuppance and it’s long overdue.
English

@KansasSt1 @edisonj_3 I don't think "envy" is the right word for this; When have gay black men ever shown any jealousy/contempt for straight black men??
They're often more concerned with protecting themselves from said straight black men attacking them for existing; I've never heard of this??

Would I be jumped if I said, a lot of these men didn’t grow up with fathers (or father figures) so non sexual affection from an adult male feels foreign or “icky” to them.
Then they label shit as “gay” and pass this mentality to other men (even ones that did have father figures) and now we have generations of men that define their masculinity (not by protecting and providing) but differentiating themselves from women and “the feminine” as much as humanly possible. Even if it leaves them lonely and depleted of connection.

Charlamagne tha God on Trump: “For once can this guy give working class people a break? His policies have already stifled job growth, raised the cost of basic goods through tariffs, weakened labor rights to favor corporations and other rich people like himself, gas prices are through the roof. Guys like James Dolan and Donald Trump hate us. The working class people who make them rich. When Donald Trump says things like he’s not thinking about Americans’ finances not even a little bit, this is what he means”

@ClubShayShay @neiltyson I totally agree BUT this is all before Big Pharma took over this country with their greed.
