My parents were not strict in the sense normal people think of, but they had an early curfew for me that ensured I missed a lot of the debauchery my friends with later limits got into.
This eventually resulted in me just saying “to hell with the consequences” and staying out with friends till 4am, realizing there was nothing my parents had the balls to do.
I am well adjusted now irl (don’t follow me or check my post history tho)
