@sgodfrey It’s both intriguing and concerning. I’ve always said ai should be a tool for creatives, rather than competition, but unfortunately right now it’s leaning towards the latter.

@MattLargeDesign If someone took one of my images and did that, I'd be fuming. If the club decided to do that, well, technically it's their image... It will be interesting to see where things go. Clubs could do some great work for minimal outlay if they employees who can learn to leverage AI.

Disappointing to see a club that has made it’s name through supporting local businesses use ai for this ‘artwork’ There are a dozen creative agencies within a 10 minute drive of the Pirelli, but even a plain photo with a little bit of text would’ve done the job #BAFC

@MattLargeDesign Literally mate and it looks perfect. Best part is I’m sure a fan of the club would love to do this stuff and probably wouldn’t charge or atleast charge a huge amount

@JackOrton96 There are a few giveaways: • Badge/logo quality tends to be the most obvious - those are not the burton and reading badges • Whatever is going on with his right hand • The inconsistencies within kit patterns • The player in the background resembles nobody in our squad

@MattLargeDesign Sorry for my ignorance but how do you know that it’s AI? I can sort of see it but can’t understand how or why 🤣

@sgodfrey Completely agree unfortunately; we just have to wait until the government imposes stricter regulations on ai (watermarking etc) Interested on your thoughts on this example below as a photographer… seems very unnecessary imo

@MattLargeDesign The world is changing, Matt. Clubs won't be using agencies unless they want to do a whole brand alignment, else they'll learn how to use AI and tools like Gemini/Nano Banana for much lower cost.

@MattLargeDesign @England It’s a solid design but for some reason just doesn’t scream/feel like ‘England’ to me. Couldn’t tell you why as there’s nothing inherently wrong about the design😂.

@MattLargeDesign Not even creative agencies, I know atleast 4 that have posted Burton Albion graphics on Twitter alone (you included). Just reeks of laziness

@kleinstudios_ @England Had @FinleySDesign suggest the same - I did try this and removing the triangle all together but personally felt that it helps readability by pointing to the top of the list

@MattLargeDesign @England Love it Matt, what do you think about moving that triangle to the left that is by "Pickford" amd moving it down to be next to "Kane: since he is the featured playing on the graphic? Just an idea :)
