THREAD: On Monday, March 23, 2020 we will start Remote Learning citywide for @NYCSchools students! This is an opportunity for students and teachers to remain connected while working from locations outside of the physical school building.

Upcoming schedule (1/2): 🔹Mon 3/16: Citywide closure. Students, teachers, & principals do not report. 🔹Tue 3/17-Thu 03/19: All staff reports. Teachers & principals participate in professional development on remote learning. (continued in next ➡️)

Beginning tomorrow, students will not report to school buildings for instruction as we transition to Remote Learning and Regional Enrichment Centers. More information is available at schools.nyc.gov/coronavirus.

Nightclubs, movie theaters, small theater houses, and concert venues must all close. The order will go into effect Tuesday, March 17 at 9:00 AM.

Our lives are all changing in ways that were unimaginable just a week ago. We are taking a series of actions that we never would have taken otherwise in an effort to save the lives of loved ones and our neighbors. Now it is time to take yet another drastic step.

Today, we made the painful decision to suspend classes in all NYC public schools, beginning tomorrow March 16. We’re going to begin remote digital learning on Monday March 23, and we’ll do everything in our power to help our kids through this.
