Rajasthan is charting a focused and outcome-driven path towards becoming a future-ready skilled state. At the Rajasthan State & NSDC–SSC Kaushal Samvad in Jaipur, NSDC, Sector Skill Councils, and the Government of Rajasthan aligned on a comprehensive 5-year roadmap to strengthen the state’s skilling ecosystem. Key initiatives include the development of a world-class skill institution in Jaipur, expansion of Skill India International Centres (SIICs) to enable global workforce mobility, and the creation of 10–15 sectoral Centres of Excellence with strong industry integration. The roadmap also emphasises transformation of ITIs under PM-SETU, integration of future skills across schools, colleges, and ITIs, and targeted interventions in sectors such as tourism, green energy, gems & jewellery, manufacturing, and food processing. By aligning institutions, industry, and implementation, this collaboration aims to reshape Rajasthan’s skilling landscape and touch over 1 million lives in five years. NSDC International has signed an MoU with Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) Kerala to collaborate on advancing skill training and language readiness aligned to global standards. As part of this partnership, NSDC International will facilitate language training for candidates, along with additional domain-specific upskilling to bridge identified gaps in line with global requirements. At the Kaushal Mahotsav – Rojgar Mela held in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a significant step was taken to advance women-led entrepreneurship in the state. The event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath and Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, Government of India Shri Jayant Chaudhary. On the occasion, a Statement of Intent was exchanged between NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was represented by Mr. Arunkumar Pillai, CEO, NSDC, and WEP by Ms. Anna Roy, Mission Director, Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) and Principal Economic Advisor, NITI Aayog. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the women entrepreneurship ecosystem by enabling greater participation of women, particularly from Self-Help Groups, in formal, scalable and sustainable enterprise opportunities. Through enhanced access to skilling, credit linkages, and market integration, the initiative aims to support women in transitioning from informal livelihoods to structured entrepreneurship pathways. NITI Aayog, in partnership with National Skill Development Corporation, has signed a Statement of Intent to advance women-led enterprises in Uttar Pradesh, with implementation anchored through the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP). The SoI was exchanged in the presence of Shri Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh; Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India; Shri Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of Skill Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh; and other dignitaries. The exchange was carried out by Ms. Anna Roy, Programme Director, NITI Aayog and Mission Director, WEP, and Shri Arun Kumar Pillai, CEO, National Skill Development Corporation. The collaboration will focus on strengthening women-led enterprises across the state through entrepreneurship-focused skilling, access to compliant infrastructure, credit linkages, and market integration. Adopting a cluster-based approach, the initiative seeks to enable women associated with Self-Help Groups to transition from participation to enterprise ownership. The initiative to strengthen women-led enterprises is integral to India’s growth trajectory, with convergence of skilling, finance, and market access enabling expanded opportunities for women entrepreneurs. CSR supported skilling programs in India are increasingly moving from funding activity to funding outcomes. At today’s workshop, we brought together partners across philanthropy, CSR, the social sector and government with strong alignment on driving impact, innovation and sustainability. Building on the #SkillImpactBond, the #SkillOutcomesFund will support training of 2 lakh youth over the next four years, with outcomes firmly at the core.
