@williegandalf What would redemption have to look like for you to root for him?
English

I hope he breaks out in AA and we trade him next year. I think he’s gonna be a great ball player, but for obvious reasons I don’t want to root for him in a Yankees jersey.
Tobey Schulman@tschulmanreport
Core Jackson is a Yankees prospect to follow through the rest of the year. Above-avg power (12 HR & .212 ISO) Solid K-avoidance (20.7% K%) .914 OPS vs. LHP 27 SB Currently running an .818 OPS on the year, could be a 20/20 threat in the future. #RepBX

@QB_Eagles1990 @jimcallisMLB @MLBDraft To the teams, that $2,500 difference can be incredibly important which is why it is listed as such.
English

@jimcallisMLB @MLBDraft please just list the numbers with that number added to the bonus just to keep it all consistent.
English

Annual $2,500 @MLBDraft accounting trick explanation . . . There's a $2,500 signing contingency bonus teams can give players when the contract is executed. Some teams give it on top of the signing bonus, some take it out of the bonus to save $ vs their pools, some don't bother.
English

@HedleyLamarr8 @jimcallisMLB @MLBDraft Different bonus. You're thinking of the incentive bonus plan. This is different.
English

@jimcallisMLB @MLBDraft Didn't it used to be $5,000? Did they reduce it?
1k in AA
1500 AAA
$2500 Majors
English

@Zeke_mets @jimcallisMLB @MLBDraft Nope. Just the picks in the top 10 rounds is where it is impactful.
English

@jimcallisMLB @MLBDraft and over 20 picks it can save 50k v that cap/ pool 🧮
English

@NYY_Prospects Armstrong only one remaining. Potestio signed.
English

Only two players have yet to put pen to paper officially:
Anthony Potestio (11th)
Tyce Armstrong (19th)
Potestio still has eligibility, but recently put Yankees in his bio. Armstrong has had it there for a week.
Both should sign, but watch for Potestio, if anything.
Yankees Prospect Watch@NYY_Prospects
Based on my estimates yesterday, this would’ve made the Yankees EXCEED the 105% threshold, which would be disastrous. But I did some recalculations and their draft pool spendings are now $7,707,000. That is exactly $2,940 less than the 105% threshold. Just barely under.
English

@NYY_Prospects You counted wrong based on your numbers. They're only $215,700 over their pool, not $264,700. Their 5% was $367,140.
That should leave them with $151,440 if your numbers are right.
English

@AnalyticMe99276 @runyandy Nope. Two weeks from now when they run at the ECPS at a full 60 yards, the times will be 0.15-0.25 slower.
Happens every year. The least reliable 60s are done at the PG National events and Super 60.
English

@runyandy Better athlete relative to their age group. And yes, these kids run times are probably comparable to that of Bo and Deion, because they development systems available to them.
English

@Coach_Beltran_ I saw when you posted it, but your response here is after you learned that you can pull out
English

@NextLevelScam My point being is everyone was “removing their name” after that deadline. Notice my statement was made DURING the draft
English

@RaysRanter They do not have any picks or bonus pool money.
English

@eastonh20 @ButchBaseball29 You saw one of the 30 teams' draft boards and you're tweeting about it?
English

@ButchBaseball29 Just saw one that had Carson Bolemon at 47. Kids a top 20 pick in this draft, any other year he’s a top 10 pick. These draft boards are nuts
English

@ChipMuse @GataDawgB2B @ZachZachdubose @BaseballUGA This is a good reminder than no one that actually has a draft pick and bonus money to spend, publishes a list the public will see.
Further, no publication is more disconnected from the draft than PG.
The history of golden spikes award winners as pros is a mixed bag of success
English

@GataDawgB2B @ZachZachdubose @BaseballUGA Great question! I wish I had an answer but I don’t. Most Golden Spokes winners are high first rounders. IE: Dansby Swanson who won the GS was the first pick & Charlie Condon was pick #3.
English

Danial Jackson is projected by PG as pick 69 in the July MLB draft. DJ won the Golden Spikes, Dick Howser, Buster Posey, & SEC player of the Year but there are 3 catchers projected to go hire & 2 are from the SEC. If they are so good why didn’t they win any awards?@BaseballUGA
English

@Chris24Butler @TreyDores @CoachBeede Not all Vandy players get drafted or sign professional contracts. You are only filtering for players that meet a professional threshold and excluding the number of players who don’t even meet the rookie ball threshold of which there are none in pro ball.
English

@NextLevelScam @TreyDores @CoachBeede Just going to skip over your claim that very few Vandy players make it to AA baseball? If there is any college program that is close to minor league baseball, it is Vanderbilt. This is coming from a Tennessee fan who respects the program that Corbin has built for the ground up.
English

The Toronto Blue Jays offered my son first-round money out of high school. The kind of number that changes a family's life. He turned it down to go to Vanderbilt.
People said we were crazy. The money is real, and the draft is never promised twice.
He won a College World Series, earned the degree, and went 14th overall three years later. The money was still there. By then the education was not optional; it was his.
I do not share that to brag. The pathway was the point. The bat/arm gets an athlete looked at. The classroom decides how long he stays in the game, and who he is when it ends.
English

@Chris24Butler @TreyDores @CoachBeede 100% of the players in AA made it to AA, not 2/3. 100% of the hitters you face in AA also made it to AA, not some fraction of 100%.
This is simple math. College baseball isn’t A ball.
English

@NextLevelScam @TreyDores @CoachBeede Since 2004, Vandy has had 151 players drafted, which leads all colleges. Over 100 of those have played AA ball or higher, which I believe also leads all colleges. So you are looking at over 2/3rds of the players drafted playing AA or higher. Put some respect on Corbin’s program.
English

@TreyDores @CoachBeede Scouts do not compare Vandy to AA. That is false. SEC fanboys will compare the league to AA, which is also false. A brief amount of thought regarding who never makes it to college, international players, & how few Vandy players make it to AA would have led you to the right answer
English

@CoachBeede You know our motto “40 not 4”
In today’s environment a school path makes more sense.
I talk to scouts all the time, for years they’ve compared Vandy’s program to AA ball because of the SOS and the way the program is run! I believe you can learn more taking the college route!
English

@CincySufferer Best people is wrong. Not the guy to defend.
English

@baseballnhorses @JomboyMedia Came back from 3 Tommy John surgeries btw and is one of the best people on the team
